Dave Freeman, Co-Author of '100 Things to Do Before You Die' Dies at 47

Dave Freeman, an advertising agency executive who co-wrote "100 Things to Do Before You Die," an adventure-seeking and often unconventional travel guide that personified the way he lived his life, has died. He was 47.

Freeman died Aug. 17 after falling and hitting his head at his home in Venice, said his father, Roy.

Freeman had visited about half the sites in the book. He preferred to travel alone because he could cover more territory, said his aunt, Barbara Freeman.
Is it wrong to laugh at death?

Hey he got halfway through his list.

At my work there is (was) a guy half my age, just out of college, who learned he had cancer. He's currently in the hospital getting tested to find out if he will be alive a year from now.

Sorry to rain on the comedy, but that shit gets real fast and unexpectedlly

Choking on his own whip would be preferable to finally succumbing to domesticity like he did. Hell, even the Star Trek franchise didn't subject Kirk to the horrors of marriage.
