East Bound and Down - Page 8

You are all forgetting the best line that started this episode.

"Tight dick, playa."

Honestly, if this is the last season, it would have been great.  But man, I'd have loved to see a season where Kenny makes it back to the majors.

Oh, and Will Farrell running by on fire had me breathless.

"She pissed on one of those sticks. I held it under her pussy myself."

Will miss.

"EVERYBODY BE COOL, THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL SHOOTING!"

Kenny, you will be missed.

In all seriousness, I couldn't think of a better ending to the show.  I think dying would have been too easy  an out (pun intended) for Kenny Powers.

Great episode.  Great ending.  Kenny Fucking Powers!

Sad to see it go, but it's nice to see a show go out on top like this. I love how Kenny didn't give a second thought to causing anyone grief with his fake death.

Not that the show has ever been realistic, but how does someone fake their death without a body?

Somehow it must involve Shane's corpse.

McBride's delivery of "The press would have never left us alone." was note perfect and while I am sad to see this end. Super, super sad. I want to see Jody Hill take on another film after Observe and Report.

From the moment they cut from Kenny chucking empties out the window to the sharp turn sign, I started saying to myself "do not puss out on this, do not puss out on this..."

Then they kinda did.  But Kenny's explanation and disguise were funny as all hell, so it's not the worst thing ever.   But it's hard to top the shot of Stevie weeping on the waverunner.

No mention yet of Rogen's cameo? Favorite cold open of the series, possibly.

McBride did an incredible job selling Kenny's brief realization that "staying in the majors and we come down and join you?" was actually an option, then stammering past it to affirm his faked-death decision.

McConaughey's prayer left me breathless. "Spit -- or swallow. You know what to do."

Going to miss this show so hard, but that's so much better than getting sick of it.

Kenny's blonde hair FWT.

Kenny's blonde hair made him look just like his nephew.

So, apparently Hill and McBride aren't slamming the door shut on future entries. File it under "Extremely Unlikely" sounds like, with the usual never say never caveat. I'm genuinely hoping they never go back, or if they do to wait 5-10 years to knock out a proper "sequel" series trilogy. What the hell that would be, I have no idea. But probably better to leave Kenny fake-dead for now, with the occasional endorsement deal.

Wtf? I love the show but I am mostly a little worried at this news. Where do you go now with the show? Powers threw it all away to be a family man.

DA FUCK!?!?

Great news...i guess?

Well, considering he didn't get his shit together between the happy ending of season two and the first episode of last season, I'm sure they can think of something. I love this show as much as anyone else and think they tied everything up perfectly, but I wouldn't be surprised if they just couldn't turn down HBO's offer.

I do not like this. I trust these guys of course, but they made it a point to say it was done.

I'm not too worried about these guys going back to the well after essentially finishing the series. After all, the Indiana Jones trilogy was wrapped up nicely, but then they had a really good... oh... wait...

Fuck.
