CBS Monday Night Lineup?

New show in the CBS Monday lineup called: Worst Week, and it looks like a series version of "Meet the Parents". It has Red from that 70's show (Kurtwood Smith) in it in the intimidating dad role.

I'm really looking for a hit from a show that's going to be following HIMYM and two and a half men, and the promos make this look pretty promising. It's a tough act to follow, but I think anything with Red is a fantastic start.

I work for the Eye and Moonves told us that its the funniest pilot he has seen in a decade.

If That 70's Show is the first thing you think of when you see Kurtwood Smith, something is seriously wrong.

I think HIMYM is the only show on CBS I watch on Monday's. I'm willing to DVR anything once...

Haha, what is that photo from? And please go easy on me. Sadly, I am girl who only occasionally gets introduced to movies involving machine gun holding men, and by some error, they have never been Kurtwood Smith. However, I was impressed to find Rocky III on his list of credits. Never saw that coming.

Will, thanks for the pilot review! That's great news. I couldn't imagine CBS would give the "coveted Monday night timeslot" to a show that they didn't have the utmost confidence in, but it's always good to have that theory proved correct.

FTFY.
(I still like to think of Smith as Neil's mean Dad from Dead Poet's Society).

Clubber Lang. The fact that Rocky III didn't win an Oscar for makeup is criminal.

P.S. I think Alfalfa meant Rambo III.

Incorrect: He was really Thunder Lips.

I remember Kurtwood Smith from his role in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

I did, and I appreciate the correction. It's been a long week.

Dead Poet's Society was the movie I was thinking of! When I was reading about his role in Worst Week, I kept thinking he had played that angry, unforgiving father in something other than 70's. I guess it suits him in his older age. However, I think I may have to watch Robocop now to see his earlier work (and avoid future ridicule.)

"Oscar" for me.

"A leopard don't change it's stripes."
"You mean spots."
"I mean Snaps!"

Just caught up on both episodes. Kurtwood is pretty much a toned down Red (a little more classy, a lot less use of "put my foot in your ass"), but all in all, he's a nice addition. Also, pretty hilarious boner scene in the last episode. Was delightfully surprised to see that in primetime.
