Is Sarah Palin NOT the mother? - Page 2

What's not to buy? Either she flew from Dallas to Anchorage at a stage in her pregnancy when it was atrociously irresponsible to fly at all (unless the whole point of flying was inducing a miscarriage), or she wasn't actually pregnant and has broken the law by claiming the child is hers. Any way you slice it, yikes.

I wouldn't worry too much if this story is true. There's already a legitimate scandal brewing. Troopergate will be enough to get Palin.
Has it already been mentioned that Palin, in essence, has more executive experience than McCain?

I find that....funny.

Jesus Christ, the Chuck Norris meme needs to die a quick and painful death.

When she was pregnant with her youngest, which she already knew had Downs Syndrome thanks to the wonders of medical science, Sarah Palin flew from Texas to Alaska when her water broke one month early, right in the middle of giving a speech. Then once she'd flown 3000 or so miles, instead of going to the hospital 6 miles from the airport in Anchorage, she drove an hour to a medical center in the middle of nowhere.
Oh wait, that one's the official story.

Chuck Norris doesn't give birth to Down's Syndrome babies. His daughter does!

And I think the truth of the story is obvious, Palin's daughter caused the collapse of building number 7.

Assume for a moment that it's her daughter's baby. One of these has to be true:

1). She told McCain, and he still picked her, which shows awful judgement on his part.
2). She didn't tell McCain, and still accepted, which shows horrble hubris and judgement on her part, and abysmal vetting by the McCain camp.

Slimy any way you slice it, though if the story is true I have to believe that #2 is what went down.

The slimiest of all is if the baby is really Sarah Palin's.
So not 1 photo exists of Sarah Palin pregnant where you can see she's pregnant? I know sometimes 14-16 year olds get pregnant without any signs of it, but a 44 year old? That's just fucking bizarre. Unless the baby weighed in at 2 pounds at birth you'd be able to tell clearly.

ETA. And if a famous politician was pregnant wouldn't she use it in her favor? Female voters love that shit, If she had been pregnant I bet she would have used it to her advantage and have had photo-shoots where she would gently caress her belly. Especially considering her past as someone who loves that stuff.

Why in the world are the nipples blurred out? Because she's technically still a woman? Lame.

I support the blurring of man boobs.

My theory:

The baby is the love child of McCain and the daughter.

If the baby is the daughter's, then there is a good chance that some of the alleles from both parents may be in common.
While nothing is impossible, there are quite a few excuses for the pictures and "facts" in the dailykos report. If the story is true (which I highly doubt but what the hell, you never know) there is a sliver lining. She moves from MILF to GILF territory.
I find it funny that the picture above is "well, she doesn't look too pregnant", but the one of her daughter leads some to right off the bat suspect the girl is the mother.

Incredible.
On the family picture in question:

" It was taken, and published, by the Anchorage Daily News in 2006. Baby Trig, a Down's Syndrome child, was born on April 18, 2008. That's a long time for a teen girl to be carrying a "bump".
So it's settled. The daughter was just a little bloated.

And the Daily Kos continues to be a cesspool.

Well I never really believed in that family picture as a proof of anything. The girl has the normal teen belly fat on that picture. It was more the missing pictures of a pregnant Palin I took as 'evidence'. Now not so much anymore, as your photo does make it seem like she is carrying something.

Other than that, it should be pretty easy to prove for Palin cause I'm sure they have lots of private photos of her visibly pregnant. If this rumor escalates though and she doesn't release any of those pictures I'll be suspicious again.

But all that doesn't change the fact of her being terribly irresponsible. Isn't it warned against to fly when you're in your late pregnancy stages?

Good catch. Even if the story is true, that bit of photographic "evidence" proves nothing. A trap indeed, Dan Rather 2.0 style.
Actually, the rumor started because of something much less reliable than a picture. High school rumors.

What's settled, other than that picture not showing a pregnant daughter? There's still plenty of valid questions surrounding this. By this logic, OJ Simpson couldn't have killed his wife because the LAPD fucked up the investigation, and Bush must have completed his military obligations because someone gave Dan Rather some forged documents saying he didn't.

This picture, though, is definitely worthless now.

Andrew Sullivan may have come up with a way to broach this subject. Act like it is as ludicrous as it is and humbly request that they nip it in the bud with medical records.

Every girl I knew in high school who missed that much school because of "mono" turned out to be pregnant. Every single one. By their own eventual, candid admission, not "he said she said", but from their own lips. Yes, I went to Catholic school.

Anecdotal, and useless as proof of anything, but just saying.

I agree. If it is ludicrous, let's clear it up right away. Actually, it is ludicrous, one way or the other. I just want to know which ludicrous story is the true one.

Let's get some real facts out there and then maybe we can proclaim this story worthy of Jack Nicholson's tale.

Isn't the fact that she behaved in such a medically irresponsible matter real enough facts? Forget the daughter, let's focus on that.
"Who Can Fly
There are some restrictions as to just who should and should not travel the skies when they are pregnant. Generally, women who are having a healthy, normal pregnancy are free to come and go as they please. However, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends women don’t fly after their 36th week of pregnancy."

"Women who are having any sort of complications associated with their pregnancy or who are considered to be ‘high risk’ should not travel. This includes women with poorly controlled diabetes, sickle cell disease, placental abnormalities, hypertension or those at risk for premature labor. "
To hell with those facts! She had the baby! She's truly pro-life! Jesus loves her for this and that's all that matters. And he'll tell them to vote for her.

Eh, maybe. After your water breaks, there can be a 24 hour period before labor starts. Usually, you're supposed to chill and wait at home for the contractions to start getting noticeable before you rush off to the hospital. Apparently she had consulted a doctor before deciding to go back to Alaska, so you could blame that on his shady advice.

Which is one of those things we're waiting for details on.
I don't think the baby thing (if true) will hurt her amongst the GOP faithful. Hell from what I've been reading on the net the rumors have only made her stock go up with them.
It's a good question why it doesn't look like she's pregnant. But some women don't balloon up like others but there appears to be no change in her look at all.

Although the fact that the kid has downs seems to indicate that it would've come out of Palin rather than the daughter mainly because an older woman having a child creates a much larger risk of getting the condition.
What details, she already said she consulted with her doctor. We need the doctor to come out an issue a statement?

LOL! This thread is desperate and depressing.

Will the young man who dorked the Republican Vice Presidential candidate's daughter (and/or gave her mono) please stand up?

re: Sullivan

Why medical records, testimony, etc, and not just do a DNA test now?

We also would've accepted the phrases "Banged" or "Porked".

And I'm surprised no one just ran with it and said it was Edwards who did it.

Cap, we'd be desperate if she wasn't already a collosally unqualified candidate. This is just fun.

This story depresses me. But if true the irony that's she's pro-abstinence only education and anti-privacy on women's rights is pretty rich. That said, it's #7 on google trends.
