Yes even your favorite films can be made better, and you know who's going to do that? You! Just pretend Hollywood wants to reboot a film franchise, what would you do?
Alien is now set on Earth, and a huge majority of people are unknowingly infected with Chestbursters. The media plays it off as an epidemic, and the people think everyone is infected with a deadly virus. This is an obvious cover-up (as Xenomorphs have been spotted around the world), and it's up for our protagonists to discover what's really happening. The film plays out like some government UFO conspiracy flick, until the majority of Chestbursters emerge simultaneously for war with humanity, then it becomes a Michael Bay-ish blockbuster.
(I just destroyed the whole point of Alien)
This isn't meant to be very serious so have fun.
