Don't care for the guy but for some reason that amuses me to no end.

I like his character, but that line and his delivery completely ruined the moment for me. So out of nowhere, and he never should he have been the first to address Jax after such an important deed.

I didn't like the swiping at all. Agreed that it's goofy and unnecessary.

I noticed this the second she first appeared in season 2. Obviously plastic surgery, and it looks like total shit. Which is unfortunate because I find her to be very attractive. When will people learn that plastic surgery on the lips makes you look like a damn alien?

I loved the season finale up until Happy took me out of the show with his famous line. From there it just kind of spiraled out of control:

- The Sons take off after Zobelle, who's being escorted by Alvarez and co. The Sons quickly surround them and open fire. First, Zobelle's tire is shot out by the guy with the oxygen tank, from 100 ft. away, with a shot gun. Second, the Sons unleash the fury of blanks yet again, and don't hit shit (except for that one tire). Third, even though he's surrounded by a ton of guys who are all packing serious heat, he simply moves over into the driver's seat and drives away. Like nothing just happened. Of course the Sons should have shot the car to pieces, but I guess they realized the blanks wouldn't do anything. Somehow Zobelle gets so far away that he's able to be in a store, hiding-ish, before the Sons catch him.

- I didn't mind the Gemma/Alien/Polly/Edmond craziness, if only because if it was truly God's will that put Polly in front of Gemma, well then God's got one hell of a sense of humor. Plus it showcased even more evil from Stahl. As much as it makes me squirm watching her upper lip and her continually fuck up everything she does, I likes it. Although, I normally would question the sanity of leaving a blank-loaded gun out just to see how far Edmond would go, but then look who's idea it was. Makes perfect sense!

- I understand Cameron's upset over his son, and evil alien played it just right when she announced it over the radio. But kidnapping the kid? Ugh. There's so much already going on and so much left unresolved.


My complaints in no way make me like the show less. I love it so much and can't wait for the next season. I do wish for less chest-puffing and some more, you know, actual violence? Death? I think that's why I was so taken out of the show tonight. The deaths are so rare that after we finally had a great one*, a death that not only had to happen and had been a such a long time coming, a terrible line is given by the wrong character.


*I thought Henry Rollins was magnificent in taking the death like a man. His character may have been a vile piece of shit, but there was no questioning his faith to his beliefs and values.

I think this is my main beef with the show, that constant feeling that it's holding back (or rather, being handcuffed by what they can get away with on FX) save for an occassional "shit/pussy" comment to let you know that this ain't no network show!

I was digging the finale too until Irish father went from possibly killing Abel to abducting him (and then boating back to ? Ireland?) while everyone stood on the dock looking sad. It was one of those finales that suffered from "oh too muchery". That said, it'll be interesting to see where they go with Season 3. More Biker-lem!

It was a cool finale, but I had a few minor logistical problems with it. Abel getting abducted was a little out there, but considering the extreme grief Cameron was enduring I bought it, so that aspect was fine.

I think someone already mentioned this but how did Zobel outrun a gang of harleys with a flat? I'm not one to really care about such minor squables, but it still seemed a little convinient.

I always assumed Polly was playing the Irish to help her dud and his cause, but it turns out she was genuinely in love with the guy.

I've also noticed Gemmas weird lips. In fact I've been noticing them all season, and thinking it had something to do with her getting older

I think the Sons actually used real ammunition in this shoot out. No blood, but plenty of Mayans ate shit on the freeway.

There had to have been casualties in this one, no matter how awful shots the Sons are.

BillyG, I think he used the term "blanks" because nobody was shown bleading out on the pavement. I connot concieve that if the Sons were on the War path and needed to fight throught 20 armed Mayans that they wouldn't use actual real amunition.

I know what he meant, I was being a smartass. It was joked about at length last season how the Sons were using blanks in their point blank firefights because no one even fell to the ground. I actually think it was a fight with the Mayans in season one that started that. So, real ammo meaning hey, we actually see someone fall to the ground, if not see their head pop like a water balloon.

K, gotcha, nevermind then.

Maybe they bought surplus A-Team guns.

Hah, I think they all ate shit because they were surprised! It looked like every one of them got up, picked up their bikes, and simply drove off. This coming after the tense stand-off on Main St, where Alvarez threatened to call in another charter to kill everyone. I know they're limited severely by being on F/X, but dang.

Gemma's lips are fine. Katy Sagal is as beautiful now as she's ever been, and it looks as if she's embracing her aging. It's Stahl's upper-lip that's the problem. Ugh, so terrible.

A guy who couldn't hit Clay from 5' away even!

Good finale... a TON of shit going down. Maybe too much.

I actually felt a little bit of sympathy for Rollins there... even with those awful tattoos. Gees. Or maybe my sympathy was for his kids, dunno.

Zobelle turned into a big old puss by the end of the episode.

Hah! I forgot about that. Worst assassination attempt ever!

Maybe it's the oxygen tank that gives him his accuracy/powers.

Maybe he was drunk when he shot at Clay but sober shooting at King Whitey.

I was so hoping that A.J. would get the same "Fire or knife" treatment that the former SAMCRO member got last season when he refused to get rid of his back tattoo. But I was still impressed by how his death scene came across nonetheless.

I loved that he knew what was coming and he told his kid to never talk.

Thinking about it I think that Sons, especially this season is all about the stuff that you want slipping through your fingers. Family, revenge, closure, you can never achieve anything without losing something. Jacks half got his revenge but lost his son. Clay gained his son back for while but lost his wife. Gemma gained her revenge but lost her family. Tara gained Gemma's love and acceptance but lost her peace of mind and possibly Jacks.

Sutter has been like this all season long. Teasing us with promises of closure and contentment but pulling just a little bit back every time we come close. And while this is a really potent way of evoking the audience's emotions it will get tiresome when overused. I hope we get a full chapter stop in the near future. Keep the major arc about the transfer of power in the club but finish the peripheral ones.

I Like to think at the end, even though Weston is a racist pig, he knew he deserved what was coming and had crossed a line with the rape of Gemma.

I really want to see Jax try and shift the club from crime to social activism.

Hale comforting Tara at the end.. he was extra touchy...

That's interesting because so was Unser, holding Gemma's hand in the police cruiser.

Yeah, I think there's a distinct possibility of something between Hale and Tara as she's understandably screwed up over Half-Sack's murder and being held hostage, and may have second thoughts about becoming a biker chick. Especially if Jax is over in Ireland getting in shit.

Overall a good finale, and I liked Weston's and Zobele's fates. Only (minor) gripe is I wish they'd get better music. Maybe get the SHIELD music guys to choose it, if possible. Some of the stuff here works, but they've never chosen songs that KILL you, like 'Overcome' by Live - for the season 2 SHIELD finale when they're staring, shit-scared, at the money train loot. Or the Smashing Pumpkins and Johnny Cash songs they used.

We never did find out who killed Otto's wife, the porn Queen.?

Thats my guess, but in an interview Sutter says it is not set in stone and it is subject to change.

Finally got a chance to watch the last couple of episodes and I'd say that it was a missed opportunity. There was so much to love in both episodes but the finale was just a little off for me. The Stahl/Edmund/Polly/Gemma thing just felt like too much. It was a too convenient way out for Stahl. She just sat and waited and the solution fell into her lap.

My one wish for next season is that Dayton Callie stays around. I love that man. I never appreciated him on Deadwood but now I just love him.

Ok, so I'm lying about one wish. Wish #2: More Kenneth Johnson. I don't care how or why but we need more Lem.

Sad to see Half Sack go. I don't understand why Johnny Lewis would want off the show unless he's got something better lined up.

How on earth could you not appreciate Callie on Deadwood? Charlie Utter was the heart of the show, and he brought so much worn humanity to the role. The scene with him and Jane at Wild Bill's grave is one of the most soulful, wrenching things I've ever seen.

I was blinded by the glory of McShane & Olymphant but I've come around. I've seen the error of my ways.

I don't think it's a guess. I think it was the conclusion they intended the audience to make. It might have been ambiguous to the characters, but it wasn't for us. We got to see Arnold's murderous glare. Of course that doesn't stop them from changing who did it since it wasn't stated directly or shown.

Speaking of that, for all his king of porn credentials has he never heard of a back up server?

It was a small moment in the finale but I liked the implication that Zobelle was really just passing for Aryan. All his authority and power tied up in the League and he wasn't even eligible for the decoder ring. The reveal was a bit wierd though because it came as he was emptying the safe, and it seemed to me at least, like him and his daughter were just grifters. Conning the white supremacists out of all their cash and then protecting themselves by informing on the League to the FBI.

I'm not really on board with the baby-jacking. Seems a bit of a misstep. The editing on it made it seem like there was no way Irish could have gotten away and then he's cruising out the far end of the cove. I'd have attempted to hijack a boat, myself. It isn't like he's uncatchable in this day and age. Call the Coast Guard Samcrow. They're in California, where's he going anyway? I'm no Ahab, but I don't think that boat can cross an ocean. So what, San Francisco, or L.A. and catch an international flight? Canada? Mexico? He'll have to stop for fuel somewhere along the coast. Unleash that one trooper patrolling the entirety of the North West coastline, he'll handle this shit in a day.

Thinking on it, they might still jack a boat. Just because it's a season finale why is it assumed (originally I did too) they don't do this right after the fade to black? Hell, the first scene in the next season could be them getting a boat and chasing after but still losing the guy.

Man, Kurt Sutter sounds like a little whiny bitch. His twitter feed is mostly him complaining about not getting awards, emmy's and playing the outsider card. Now he's bitching to Darabont because one of his Editors went to work with him.

Christ...reading his responses to his original Darabont tweet makes Sutter seem really unhinged. Dude needs to calm the fuck down.

Anyone who ever though Sutter was a sane and reasonable man is delusional. He's really fucked up and I guess that's why the Shield and Sons are as good as they are. Most of the most messed up shit on those shows came from him.

I always got the impression that Sutter was something of a loose cannon. He looks the part anyway.

Perhaps his meds hinder his writing... if so, I say flush em!
