Prison Break Season 3

It's back.

They're certainly thorough in eliminating the leftover characters from last season.

EDIT: Shit. It's Season 4. Too bad you can't edit titles. Or just delete the thread if there is no posts.

Hilarious. They were able to remove all of Michael's tattoos like overnight with a laser. I guess he'll be able to wear short sleeve shirts now.
Hot Dr. Lives! Less hot though, not sure what happened. I love how they brought her back - Smart Brother "So, did you look in the box?" Not Smart Brother "Eh, not really."
Is still as shitty as half the season 1, and the whole season 2? Like, makes Heroes looks great in comparison?
I watched the first hour of this premier. This show is like if Michael Bay had his own TV show, but without enough explosions. Just so incredibly unbelievable and stupid.

I'll probably watch it next week sadly, just nothing on TV.

Season 2 of the new Terminator show is up next up.

Yeah, pretty much. But now with Michael Rapaport.
Well, they had Peter Stormare and William Fichtner and it was still terrible... I've caught some bits of season 3 and then I heard they had killed the hot doctor. And that they managed to to destroy the über-conspiracy.
Yes, but now the hot doctor is back from the dead. It's amazingly stupid.
I've always enjoyed this show. It's stupid as hell but a shitload more entertaining than, say, 24.
I love how they completely rebooted the show and turned it into a modern day mission impossible.

Favorite line of the night: Ate some bad Mexican?
I love this show. Sure, it's stupid as all hell, but it's fun. Plus it's got the Fichtner factor.
It's a huge guilty pleasure. I'm a huge T-Bag fan.. I think he's one of the best villain characters out there.

You're right. That's exactly what they did. They're kind of like the Suicide Squad now, except doing boring things like sneaking into a house to copy a harddrive. Where the fuck does Belloq have any expertise for this shit?

For a moment I thought Ivan Ooze himself was on this show.

I'd say it's more A-Team then Mission Impossible myself. This is a very strange show who's premise changes season to season.

It also suffers from what I like to call the "Sloan Syndrome", named so because of the antagonist on Alias. It's when a show takes a strong antagonist (don't get me wrong, Ron Rifkin did excellent work on that show) and rather then killing them off when it makes sense narratively, runs them into the ground. Case in point: while I love T-Bag (and Bellick too) there is no reason why any of them should've made it past the second season.

Am I reading way too much into this show?

I consider Belloq to be the quirky comic relief sidekick with an eventual heart of gold turn, sacrificing himself in a shocking yet expected moment of redemption.

Second favorite scene was the belloq mugging where after they ducked around some bushes Mallone said he had to run slower to make it look like he was really chasing Belloq and Belloq's reply was an out of breath "I think I pulled a groin muscle!"
It's Bellick. Not Belloq.
Are you guys still in denial after that Indy 4 showing?

Hey... don't type that too loud they may change his name and ethnicity to draw in more ratings.
The power of Lucas compells you, heathens!

Seriously, talk about Deux Machinas. Sucre, T-Bag and Bellick just escape because of a prison riot? Just like that? And they manage to make it to Mexico with no clothes, money and the entire Panama force after them?

Sure.

Seriously. I got confused thinking, "where the hell is the nazi sympathizer?"

Premiere was completely retarded. At least Hot Doctor is back and Fichtner stayed on. I'll watch a couple more episodes but that will probably be it unless something really awesome happens.
Just finished the Season Three DVDs a few days ago. I saw Two and Three back-to-back (I had seen One and gotten way behind). Season Two was definitely so-so, but it had its moments. I like that Bellick remained part of the cast, and I liked Fichtner getting on board. I loved that he's stuck around so far, too.

Season Three was better than the second one since I liked the dynamic of them being in jail again and having to break out. That last minute of Season Two was a ridiculously cool set-up for Season Three and it pretty much delivered aside from some clunkiness here and there.

The only real annoying thing for me is how all the characters seem to have the ability to teleport and run into each other WAY too easy. C-Note and Sucre walking into the garage in Season Two was my "fuck it, I'm not gonna even worry about it anymore" moment.

Season Three of Lost made me start to watch it when it's on TV instead of waiting for the DVD sets (it was that good), but Prison Break didn't rile me up that much. That said, I did wanna at least catch the premiere since it was gonna be two hours and I'd read one of the cast members died in it. I missed it, but I got the death spoiled for me two days ago at a message board that leaked the script for the tenth episode, so, no biggie.

Another thing I like about Prison Break that I'm kinda hesitant to share since some might say shit about it, but here it goes: sometimes the acting is really good. Mostly talking about C-Note, but Dominic Purcell has gone out of his way to surprise me more than once. T-Bag is tits, but I think everyone agrees on that. Kellerman has done good stuff, too. When he was torturing Sara it looked like they were gonna pussy out and make him go soft, which I would've hated since he'd been such a cold motherfucker since he first showed up, but they didn't so "yay". And I can live with T-Bag only being weak with the Hollanders (I hope they don't go domesticating him any time soon).

I fuckin' hate Michael's whispering voice, though. Silly as hell.

Anyways, that's my saved-up-after-watching-more-than-30-episodes-back-to-back rant.

Ok. I just a few weeks ago watched season three for a review, and I know nothing else of the show, but could someone explain to me how there wasn't a head in a box? Was it, like, a fake head? And are they doing anything with the poor Mexican dude who ended up in prison for helping them at the end of season three?

SPOILERS BELOW!!!

I'm guessing they're gonna go with it was a look-alike's head or something. And Sucre (he's Puerto Rican, not Mexican!) apparently gets out of the jail real early in Season Four (along with T-Bag and Bellick).
Gretchen said it was a head she pulled from some random cadaver. And when Michael asked Linc if he really looked at the head he basically admitted he didn't and just assumed it was Hot Doctor. So stupid.

Also, during the hiatus the Sona prisoners rioted and Sucre, Bellick, and T-Bag all miraculously made it out alive. This is all stuff that was covered in the first 10 minutes of the premiere the other night.
So, the three can break out of a prison in five minutes offscreen, when it took Michael how much of a season?

Guess they picked up some tricks. I caught the first two episodes on hulu. It's actually not bad. Entertaining enough to watch in the background of my computer.
but...the camera zoomed in on the severed head and it looked just like her...

You know what, I'm glad I didn't get attached to this show. Thanks for the time saving spoilers thought.
I figured it was faked to look like her. As opposed to finding her exact twin.

No I'm pretty sure its Belloq. And Tea-Bhag, Mikal Skullfield, Link Barrows, Salad Tankready, and lastly Soupcrates.

I don't really understand why some people suddenly expect this show to become The Wire over the course of a summer. It's Prison Break -- it's been ridiculous and convoluted since day one. Just go along for the ride and enjoy the absurdities.

Haha actually I think it was fan inspired. There was a big ta-do about how it didn't really look like her and the sane rational people said it was a prop head, what do you want them to have her head digitally put in a box?

This gives insane people ammo! Fortunately, referencing Prison Break is a deal breaker on proving your point

Shit...this Season 4 premiere gives a whole new meaning of "Retconing".

1) First up is Sona. It was touted as being "the worst of the worst". But my problem with Season 3 is that Sona not really very threatening. Hell! We're got Cons strolling about freely without a care in the world. Seems like more of a beach resort to me. Lechero is a pretty ineffectual boss- Hardly fearsome and not very smart, truth be told.

Now all suddenly...there was a "riot" and Sucre, T-Bag and Bellick just miraculously escape? Isn't that a little convenient? It sure defeats the purpose of Season 3 doesn't it?

2) Michael and Lincoln captured so easily. They didn't even put up much of a struggle. Lincoln especially could have made it far away before those Panama cops would have gotten near him.

3) Whistler. Talk about a plot device. We know next to nothing about him in Season 3. And then suddenly within 10 mins in Season 4 he gets killed? No explanation besides that he was a "Company operative for 10 years".

I've hear the Premiere ratings weren't very good. So i am thinking Season 4 will be the last. Better this way I think.
It's so bad it's not even funny.
The "i didn't look" line is probably one of the most retarded things i ever heard on television. Or any medium.

T-Bag eating the fat mexican and then suffering that joke about "did you have some bad mexican?" was kinda worse.

I only watch because of Willie Fitchner. The big black bad dude is kinda cool too.
Yeah, it's ridiculous, but for some reason I'm drawn to watching it.

Bingo!

I mean it's just gotten so silly now that I think the only reason I'm sticking with it is the fact that nothing else I watch has started up again.

I'll echo the wtfness at the 3 weeks later thing. I thought that they had skipped forward 3 weeks just to start the first episode off quickly and then they'd go back but no...the other 3 escaped and I shan't question it (part of me is glad that I didn't have to suffer a plodding subplot with Belleck, T-Bag and Sucre scheming in fucking Sona).

Oh and that new black Kellerman isn't working for me really.

Have they mooted the talked about spin-off in a women's prison now, or is it still going ahead? They were supposed to introduce a new female character in this series for it, or something. Does Prison Break still get get good ratings?
No.
It's gone after this season and thank god for that.
Man, you remember how the "general" was all cautious and wouldn't even talk to people because he didn't want to be 'listened' to. You have to admire a show that just boldly ignores history, tradition and built up tension and throws it out the window for a quick dramatic episode ending week after week.

Another week and another Mission Improbable. I dug how linc just picked up the ax and walked into the building and no one noticed or did anything... outstanding.

If "I ate some bad Mexican" had been T-Bag's retort, it might have been funny. But the way it was delivered was just weird and coincidental.

Haven't watched this week's ep yet, but I'm really not digging the new route the show's taking. The writers probably painted themselves into a corner with the whole Prison Break thing, but ignoring everything that came before and changing the whole format is just the wrong way to go. Also, the contrivances and character inconsistencies are fucking ridiculous now. And this is coming from someone who enjoyed the first 3 seasons...
This continues to be amazingly dumb. But i, for some reason, keep watching.
The reason? Willie fucking Fitchner. He's amazing and deserves Better.

Also, Ron Butterfield!

I forgot all about that. Makes that scene even more ridiculous now. I do like how they've finally made Linc surrender to being the Meathead. Last season it was like they were trying to show him as smart or something, which certainly isn't Purcell's strong suit. He's much better this way.

How many episodes are there supposed to be? At this rate, they can have the whole thing wrapped up in 12 hours. Are they going to pull a retarded, out-of-left-field twist in episode 12 and spin it into 22 episodes?
I doubt ratings will let them. But if they pull in decent number, you can bet your ass they will.

Inside that impossible to break facility they'll find another clue or something.
Anbody still watching this?

They killed off Bellick, the fat guard last night.
Aww say it ain't so! Was it at least a satisfying death?

It was a self sacrifice, and he was killed when a sewer tunnel filled with water.

I'm still watching this. I'm glad they offed Bellick. What a whiny bitch.

Mahone also channelled his inner Jack Bauer and avenged his son on the scary Company hitman guy. This season has ended up relatively entertaining but I hope it's done this year.

I did like that, the guy was in mid sentence when Mahone just pushes him in to the water.
Ah, you know that scary hitman guy is gonna wash up on the shore and come back with avengence. Or maybe Bellick will. Who knows.
Yeah, they left that a little too open even though the guy was weak and chained to a cinder block. You know he'll show up at just the wrong time to force a fifth season or something. That, or Scofield will drop dead from the seizures/tumors/whatever he has.
Looks like Prison Break is going to gone for a long long while.
There's no sign of it in Fox's Jan/Feb schedule.
