Flixster Anyone?

So I was out at B&N last night with a good friend and he is flitting through the entire bookstore raving about at least three authors per shelf. At the end of the night he tells me about this site, Shelfari. It is a social networking site like Myspace or Facebook but it revolves around books.

I got to thinking the way he acts about books is how I act about movies and realized there had to be a social networking movie site and came across this: Flixster.

Anyone here a member or had experience with it?

Hm. You piqued my interest, so I just signed up for it. Seems pretty cool. but based on my what I selected in my 'compatibility test', I'm a bad match with half the people.

This is probably the only FaceBook application I use, and that's primarily to sate my autism and let me rate everything. It's cool when you stumble across a film a bunch of your 'friends' have seen and reviewed though.

It wants my yahoo.com password for some reason. I don't trust it.

So it is an APP on FB, huh? OK. I don't have a Gheyspace page nor a Fecesbook page so I wouldn't have known.

I signed up for the Shelfari thing my friend indicated to dig on his books and get back into politics which is his main read.

I was trying to guage the Flixster site on whether it was something people around here used or if it was some sort of glorified Netflix where they dont even send you the movies to watch first.

Yeah i use this alot on Facebook. I use it to rate, write reviews, list the films i want to see, take quizzes, loads. It's the best application on facebook.

You would of thought there would be some sort of compatibility between the stuff on my facebook and the stand-alone site. Tried and it won't log me in. Shame.
