Rules are simple, pick any movie you want, be prepared to make your case if need be. Let's have fun, let's trash talk, let's discuss.
You are kinda killing Jan. he has to post at 3 am.

I would recommend putting all the European guys on the morning.
Looking at how my schedule has changed for next week, I'd swap with Jan.

Fixed the Jan thing, you're right, anybody have any problems let me know.
I'll just stay in my spot, then. I'll just have very late postings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Changed for the evening, is that better?
That'll be fine. I'll still be really, really late on Wednesday...I'm working from 7:30am until probably 10pm that day, CST.

For the first time drafters, you can draft ANY time your group is on the clock, you do not have to wait on the name above yours to go. If everybody from the previous group has picked, then you're group is on the clock, even if the time alloted has not run out.

Clear?
One movie per round? You've got me at from 9-11am. So is that Singapore time? Or your side? Because 9am Monday in the States in 9pm here in Asia.
Thread Starter
Yes, one movie per round. Is that time slot okay for you?
Not a problem. I am just wondering if we 're on the same page with regards to the time difference. So 9am, Singapore time?
Thread Starter
9 AM my time. So 9PM your time. I can switch you to my evening time, your daytime if you like.

Stupid timezones. Exposing my ignorance.
Question, Keith: It says Monday at the top, so will the times noted ONLY be for Monday, or will they maintain for the whole week?

There has been interest in doing a snake draft, as in reversing the order for each group everyday. Early would still be early, just drafting in the opposite order. But some like Renn Brown will have to draft at midnight or later anyway, so if you want, I can keep you around the same time, or make sure you draft later.

Nothing's set in stone, I don't mind switching some names around.

Bear with me, this is the first draft I've ran.

felix, moved it to 9 PM my time, so 9 AM your time, is that better?

Thinking about doing a snake on these, and I'm trying to accomodate with you all, so the order will change up on each day. Please be advised.

I'm not going to make that ruling. I hope that we don't load this thing down with Westerns, but if you want to pick all westerns, go ahead. As for the movie you mentioned, I think a case could be made that's it works as an action picture, yes. Like I said, just make the case for it in the discussion thread.

There's definitely a few picks I'm eyeing that are probably considered more traditional thrillers, but if we set strict rules then it's not going to be very much fun.

Keith, I need to start work at 9am. So I would prefer my original timing.
if it comes time for the next bunch of people to go but someone from the previous group still hasn't posted yet, does the next group go automatically or do they have to wait around? and if you miss your timeslot can you post at any time afterwards, or do you have to wait until the end when everyone else is done?
Thread Starter
Fixed, felix.

If you're late for your timeslot, and the time expires, the next group may go, they do not have to wait on you.

If you miss your timeslot, just post whenever you can.

If you know you're going to miss your timeslot, feel free to PM me or find somebody to draft for you, or at least let us know it is fine to skip ahead so the next group does not have to wait around, if at all possible. I realize shit happens. I may not be around during the day times a few days, I have some job interviews (Thank God!), but everything should be fine.
Thanks for setting this all up, Keith.

You're all welcome.

I'll get that paypal info to you.

One quick question, how does 7 to 9 in the evening translate to my timezone (central)?
Thread Starter
What time is it now for you, because it's 7 EST for me.

Look, timezones are my achilles heel, I can't keep the shit straight, is it 6 or 8 o clock in your neck of the woods?

I believe it be 3:15 in the evening, your time.

Right now it's 6, Keith, so I'm just an hour off from you. So I take it that means that I should post around 6 here then. Just wanted to clarify is all. Looking forward to the draft on monday.

Last group may look a little big, but remember, you don't have to draft in that particular order. Anybody in that slot can go when you're on the clock.

Bump.
Okay, so do the drafters post top to bottom in order, or is it a free for all between the few people in each time bracket once their time comes?

Apologies, this is my first draft on CHUD.
Thread Starter
Once your timeslot hits, you may post your pick at any time, you do not have to do it in order.

For instance, first group Monday morning:

M. Savage
Jan
felix
Judas Booth

Nobody in that group has to wait for Martin Savage to go, anybody in that group can go as soon as the clock strikes nine.

Thanks for putting this all together, Keith. I will be working until 5 (8pm EST) each day this week, but if there is a chance of not making my timeframe, I'll try to PM or email another Chewer my pick to post.

Man, I guess I deserve that slot. I see no reason why the draft order can't be sped up so that I'm drafting by nine or something, right? These drafts tend to move fast, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I thought you wanted a late slot. I wasn't trying to punish anybody. Matter of fact, I'll just condense it a little.
Many kudos for your patience so far Keith. My slot is most definitely perfect and I'm looking forward to this!

I'm not so sure about doing the snake thing. Seems like it won't work out for a lot of people.

What do you all think?
Snake would be confusing to first time drafters. I'm up for it, but others may be too confused.

Thanks a lot gents!

Though I have a packed week ahead of me I should be able to draft without delays.

And being in the very first group is a gift and a curse. Let´s see how that plays out.
Oh, the bloodbath is coming!
Any chance of jumping in on this thing late? I didn't realize it was going to be so slack with the drafting times and whatnot - I'd gladly only draft in the late late evening after everyone else is done for the day.. action movies are just too damn fun to miss out on.
-I have no problem with him joining and drafting 2 picks today to compensate for yesterday.
Aint we missing one drafter anyway?
Thread Starter
I don't think this MoonBase guy is ever going to post, so you can have a late slot, if you want. Just don't pick anything I would pick, and we'll be fine.
