The Dirty Harry ultimate collectors boxset

Cheapest I've seen is £22, about $44. Is it worth it? I love the first 2 movies, and haven't seen the others for ages. I remember them being just ok.

The special features and commentaries look good.

That's about what I paid and it's well worth it. Lots of good extras. Box is sweet lookin' too. I know that's a petty reason to want a set of discs but fuck it, it's a cool box. That's just a fact.

The extra trinkets like the Scorpio map and the fake Harry badge are nice to look at for a minute but then you'll fold 'em up and they'll probably remain folded until your relatives go through your stuff after you pass on.

Haven't listened to any of the commentaries yet. I should get around to the Milius one for MAGNUM FORCE but it's just not the same listening to him without Arnold.

That is why I never understand why people go crazy over 'extras'. They look cool (maybe) for all five minutes, then they become junk cluttering up your place.

In the set's defense, all the extra bobbles do fit snuggly in the sweet lookin' box. And who knows, maybe one day I'll get in an argument with someone over where Scorpio made his 4th phone call to Harry. I'll be able to unfold the map and proclaim "Ah ha! It was indeed the hamburger stand at Aquatic Park. Told you ya son of a bitch!"

Buying this box set was the first thing I got when I got my Target credit card in June. It's definitely worth the upgrade from my previous snapper cases.
