DS RPGs

Thread Starter
RPGs are amongst the most time intensive of games. And the DS is portable and easy to sneak in game time between other responsabilities. It's a match made in heaven!

Anyway, I've got a lot of joy out of The World Ends With You and I'm currently enjoying Final Fantasy IV (a lot!). Are there any other recommendations or comments on RPGs for the DS?

Phantom Hourglass and Final Fantasy III are the obvious choices.

If you value your sanity, despite all that might be positive about its Sega CD/PS1 brethren, avoid Lunar: Dragon Song

There is a Sonic RPG coming out by Bioware pretty soon.

Dragon Quest IV on Tuesday.

Contact is odd and fun, though occasionally frustrating. It has a strange combat system. I'd say it's definitely worth picking up for under $20.

Final Fantasy III is balls. You are pretty safe with any other RPG remake.

Only under $20, though. It's got soli ideas, but the amount of level grinding to be done in that game renders it boring as hell after a while.

The Two Dragon Quest remakes will definitely be worth your time, some of the best RPGs ever made. Final Fantasy III is pretty terrible, but IV is worth picking up.

If you are REALLY an RPG fan, you buy Etrian's Odyssey I and II. ONLY if you are hard core.

I've had Etrian's Odyssey II since June and I'm still 10 floors away from completion.
