Heroes Volume Three - Page 12

The last two episodes of Heroes almost makes you forget the last two seasons happened. Almost. Last night's ep was easily one of the most enjoyable I've seen from this show in years. To those who lost faith in the show, you owe it to yourself to see "Cold Snap". It's excellent and a real return to form.

So can we call Micah being Rebel WORST. TWIST. EVER?

This was definitely a vast improvement over the last two seasons and characters I normally don't like alot were pretty tolerable. Fuller makes me want to give this show another shot.....

Its hardly a twist, it was beyond obvious(i had already called it), it was always going to be him.

Yea the last episode was the best in a while, however, to be honest I miss the all the hilarious shitiness preceeding it, the bad acting, the cheap emotional shots, the complete disregard of all the rules previously laid out, the illogical plotting and inconsistent character arcs, the last season gave me so many genuine laughs. Good times.

Ok, it was a good episode.

I love that i haven't seen the show in almost 6 months and i needed no catchup. I couldn't care any less at this point.

The freezing scene was amazingly well shot.

1) Tracy definitely isn't dead. She faked her death in this episode. Later reforming herself "Iceman" style after Danko left.

2) She'll be a good guy from onwards. Especially in the later Vol 5 arc. Serving as a protrector to new heroes.

I new she wasn't dead, she blinked while her head was on the ground.

Bryan Fuller must be the most envied/hated man in the HEROES writing room. Seriously, if I was even partially responsible for the last year and a half of HEROES scripts and then had to sit and watch Fuller's Monday episode (which essentially doubled as a writing clinic), I'd probably walk straight home and put a gun in my mouth.

Yeah that was an excellent clean up job Fuller did in that episode. One of the best things he did was kill off the Daphne/Parkman romance. That wasn't working on ANY level. Also, let's never speak of Parkman painting pictures of the future ever again.

It wasn't just an excellent hour of HEROES. It was an excellent hour of television, period. It blows my mind that Fuller can walk into a narrative mess like HEROES and immediately turn it into 44 minutes of gold. Talented, talented man.

Looks like last week's episode was an anomaly.

Instead this week we got almost a whole episode of Nathan and Claire boozing up Tequila in a bar in Mexico. Weird.

Well to be fair to Heroes it's really your fault for expecting something from this show.

I haven't watched this show since somewhere in the middle of last season but I do fucking love this thread, I mean it. Everytime I come in here I read something horriffic. Imagine my suprise when I see that some people were actually saying that she show was getting better. Of course too many bad things have happened on this show for me to ever watch again. However I did wonder if the good episode streak would keep going. Just as I thought.....it didn't. I fucking love you heroes!!!!!!!!

I tried multiple times to make it through my downloaded version of Monday's episode and just kept falling asleep somewhere around the Peter and his Mom in the church and the stupid Mexican drinking to make money storylines.

I LOL'd at the scene where Sylar disappeared out of the back seat of Danko's car and was up on a building seconds later...
(note that as far as we know he does not have invisibility, flight, super speed, or teleportation)

Interesting finale last night. The twist with Sylar was both ballsy and somewhat timid. Interested to see where the next season goes....

I thought it was the best of the three season finales so far, which is, admittedly, not saying much. I do like that they are doing a decent job of throttling the show back to what it was in season 1; rather then the SciFi Channel ridiculousness of season 2 and the first part of 3. I don't know if they can save the show, but they did a decent job of getting it back on track for someone like me that has stuck with it. They still need to work on the consistency issues, such as why didn't they just use Claire's blood to bring the real Nathan back to life? Certainly Noah would have remembered the same thing being done to him; and they had a syringe. I do think they did a decent job of crafting the idea of having Sylar going after the President. It seemed like a late idea since any thought of a season long impending crisis was probably scrapped when they started re-focusing the show in the 2nd half of this season.

They still have a lot of work to do to bring Heroes back to what it was, and even that won't be enough for most people since many people hated the show even back then. For people like me that still watch, I think they are moving in the right direction. Maybe Fuller is the difference, and they have some time to fix things, and maybe even correct some of the odd/dumb choices made in S2 and S3.

And congrats to people practicing what they preach. This thread hadn't been updated in a long time meaning people that don't like the show didn't bother wasting time posting in a thread about a show they hated. For the few of us that still do watch, hopefully we will have better things to talk about next season right out of the gate. Skeptical, but hopeful.

As much as we all think we can stand in a vat of shit for who knows however much time just as long as the pay is RIGHT, that's never really the case, is it?
