What.
The Fuck.
Is This Show?!?!?!?!?!?

Retarded

Incred.

Remake of a Japanese show with the same premise. So, retarded 2 x's.

I don't really get it. I mean, there's no "show" in this show. I don't understand how this sustains five minutes of programming, let alone two or three episodes.

It's been on Argentinian tv for almost 5 months. It's incredibly retarded.

And the worst part is that it's on the top 5 of the ratings.

I'M NOT KIDDING!

I guess I could see this being an obstacle on Double Dare....but it's a full length PRIME TIME show. The episode I saw featured a feminine 6'4" 320 pound man. The only merit I can see this show having would be going back and making some wonderful animated gifs out of his spandexey shenanigans.

It's a show where six year olds can watch with their grandparents and not have to argue about the plot. It's literally the simplest show imaginable. I do have to give them props for the all midget team.

That's the one episode I watched - midgets vs. roided up body-builder women. I could've sworn one of those "ladies" was Jim Carrey as Venus DeMilo. I think this would be a fun game to play, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to watch it. And I guess its funny to see fat people in skin tight spandex, but the contestants they choose to be on this show stand no chance. They are the most physically challenged people. Best part of the show for me is easily the announcer screaming, "It's time to face the hole!" before each challenge. I mean, that's a great set up for a million different jokes. Makes me chuckle every time.

That's the point. It glories in it's own stupidity, taking the burden off of the viewer by calling itself dumb.

I think you give the show too much credit.

Oh, I probably do. It's not Masterpiece Theater. It's mindless amusement that won't last long.

At least I didn't feel like I needed to scrub my eyes clean like when I watched Fox's Moment of Truth. Now that was a show that relished in exposing the lowest forms of human life on Earth.

well as a fan of wipeout, I must say Wipeout is 100 times more awesome than hole in the wall. (which isnt saying much)

Stumbled over this thing last night. I couldn't help watching in disbelief as silver-suited fast food workers proceeded to play the stupidest game I've EVER SEEN.

I couldn't stop laughing. My fiance just shook her head and asked (quite rightly) how trying to fit through holes in a wall can sustain a half-hour programming block.

Punchline: Apparently, it's an HOUR of fitting through holes in a wall!

Hey, if randomly guessing which suitcase holds a lot of money can be a big hit, surely this show can be one also?

Whoa, what?

Is this a TV show about trying to fit through a hole in the wall? Really? That's it?

It can't be. I think I misunderstood and I really don't want to search about it.

Edit: Oh, I searched and it's exactly that. I'm depressed now.

Not as depressed as if you'd watched any portion of the show!

This may be the first time in my life that I'm interested in the ratings of a television show for any other reason than fear of cancellation.

Who is watching this? Will it be an enormous hit? Will it spawn spinoffs ("Gum on the floor"! "DUCK: The Game"! "America's Fastest Blinker"!)?

Another Americanized bastard spawn of a Japanese game show.

I remember that. It's really a whole show of that nonsense?
Yes.
from what i understand, an UNGODLY amount of people watched the premiere. That's why its still on tv.
I'm not going to lie - the sheer fact this exists is brilliant. If I were to pitch a game show, it would be this.
It's the end of the world as we know it.

Incidentally, I started a thread about this a few weeks ago too. Damned if I'm going to find it though.

And so we inch one step closer to televised Russian Roulette.

"Chamber three?" *CLICK BAM* "A winner!"
Ha! Ha! Man fall down!
Don't sell the show short. It's a funny-looking man falling down into water.

I guess its just the competitiveness in me, but I don't see why people don't just dive through the hole every time. Sure it's funnier to try and make a 4 out of your body. But you get points for making it to the other side. It doesn't matter how you get through.
