I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
I would lump Eddie Murphy in the "Lazy Actor" category with DeNiro and Pacino. I remember growing up in the 80's thinking Eddie could do no wrong. Then "Coming to America" happened and ever since then, it's been a long slow descent into latex addiction with the sharp drop off happening with "The Nutty Professor". The old Eddie still comes out to play with "Bowfinger" and "Dreamgirls" but I think he's lost to us now.
But it undeniably started Murphy's lifelong obsession with latex dress-up humor.
I'm sure he had the obsession well before then (see Delirious and his seamless integration of family members during the cookout story). He just had the means to put it on screen.

Fuck all y'all. Think I'll go watch Mad Dog & Glory again.
That's because we all know that comment is completely absurd. You can't defend against crazy.
It is a classic and a great movie but this is the movie that started the whole.....
"Starring Eddie Murphy, Eddie Murphy, Eddie Murphy, and Eddie Murphy" phase of his career. One could say CTA was the last of his golden age. I do hope the guy is serious about doing R Rated movies again. I think he's still got it.
