A lot of us here seem to be avid newspaper and magazine readers, so I figured there could be a thread that highlights interesting pieces and maybe points someone in the right direction for intelligent reading.
The first one that was very interesting got printed in last month's Rolling Stone (with RDJ on the cover) and it was about campaign financing. The main conceit was both of the candidates are receiving obscene amounts from private businesses and hedge funds, but while you'd assume McCain was the leader in that category, Obama is giving him a run for his money by edging out the Republican in major campaign contributions.
The second is the cover article with James Franco from this month's GQ. It's a good piece and it might surprise you the lengths that a guy like Franco is willing to go to research a role.
