Well if you read the gospels there are a couple of interesting ideals in it. The only part of God anyone ever seen or heard from is the Tetragrammaton, which is Jesus himself. Also you have John 10, which states all prophets as liers and thefts, at best hired hands. There is also this.
Matthew 5:19
"Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least [Matt 11:11] in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 11:11Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist! Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
It boil down to the fact most people do not understand what sin is, what the law is, what Judgment is, and what salvation is. They have built for themselves an idol of the law. The Law is about health, and not salvation or the resurrection. Many Christians idolatrize the law, that is the sin of Adam and Eve. If the Law was such a good thing then way were Adam and Eve casted out for partaking of the tree of knowledge of good and evil? Sin is missing the mark. Nothing more or less, and the mark is perfection, or God. Since you are not perfect you are sinful. Everyone is sinful.
There are four basic things you need for the resurrection.
Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Galatians 5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Matthew 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
or
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
This is it, and there is no way you will master any of these things, so why worry about more. Paul say everyone will do Romans 10:9( but then Paul was a universalist), what separates everyone is how well they understand, and can perform the other three.
