HIMYM season 4

actually a pretty good season opener. No lame guest stars, just a focus on Barney's realization of his love for Robin and Ted realizing he doesnt know much about his new fiance.

Loved the Camera in Barney's pad... and loved that they didn't change Barney.

Good episode. Was that the 1st time they show Barney's apartment?

no. There was an earlier epsiode where Lily stayed at Barney's apartment and he showed her his massive porn collection.

09-29 ep:

I wonder if they're going to tie Barney's bank into the current financial crisis?

Good use of HD widescreen this week-- i love the throwaway bit at the ATM where starving Robin is licking the glue off a deposit envelope.

Excellent episode if only for the reason that the use of a guest star (in this case Regis) was truly funny.

How long has Alysson Hannigan had jet black hair? That's just wrong.

It's gotten progressively darker each season.

hmm.. not the funniest episode of the season, but I loved Marshall's proclamation of loving New Jersey.

Looks like Barney's going to make a decision on Robin after all, after her new job assignment.
Hits: Robin's premature victory dance, Marshall's dog shirt, and Stella's black nightie.
Not the best episode, but Barry trying to pick up a lesbian is great.

Hit the Barn-knuckle! Hit it!

I agree with Hammerhead. Those parts were definitely the highlights.

My friends often go through the NJ/NY debate, and I just new Springsteen was going to be the ace in the hole. However, still a great storyline.

80-year-old Barney was amazing, especially his "I'm from the future" bit.
This episode was the best so far this season. Each character had great moments (Uber-Canadian) and Barney used his fire magic. I was pleased.

the intervention bits were funny.. but Barney punching the wall was superb.

"She's French. That's like playing tennis with the net down."

Anyone who tries to tell you that NPH isn't the heart and soul of this show is not to be trusted.
That was a nice episode. Jason Jones was great, despite his limited onscreen time.

Giant fan!

Also, the Barney bits were, as usual, priceless.

The blond kids in the alternate flash-forward killed me.

I'm glad they aren't rushing the Barney Robin thing.. but as last week's episode showed us, they just might be a couple by 2009. I cant wait to see the upcoming episodes.

Best episode of the season by far.

"I did make it rain." got a good chuckle out of me.

Alysson Hannigan still is believable as a high schooler.

Also loved that Robin's dad is some dude from the soap opera's.. is he from Guiding Light?
Not the best episode, but Robin's dad was indeed priceless. Needed more Barney.
How much more Barney do you need?

"I did not know you'd be here."

"...and look them in the eye. Some of them for the first time."

"That other table is off the hook!"

"Everyone fasten their seatbelts. Not you, Ted."

"My leg is asleep!"

Robin's little uber-Canadian digression about the Blue Line was pretty great too.

The Young and the Restless.

Don't even start.

A good episode last night. I hope that was Sarah Chalke's last episode. I liked her on Scrubs, but I don't think her type of humor blended well with this show's cast.

It seems like the show has been in a slump ever since she started guest starring last season.
I enjoyed her on the show but I agree that I hope she's gone. I think it was just more that it never seemed to me like she would end up being the mother. I've enjoyed this season so far but I also just love this show. I've been re-watching season 2 lately and I forgot just how strong it was.

I hope that he meets the mother soon. I would like the show to run with her as a part of the cast for a while and not just have Ted meet her and get married like an episode later.

everyone loves baby socks. Ted at the end singing Cat's in the Cradle was laugh out loud funny.

That was a great episode! and the Thai you would actually wear line had me dying also.

Was that NPH playing one of the Svens, or just someone that looked a lot like him?
Nice episode. Woo!

And guys: The Bro Code.
This season has been on absolute fire so far.

Marshall giggling when Barney said "fire, Marshall" was the best.

very funny episode and Mitch really is a superman.

Loved that Lilly was part of the naked man test.
Holy crap, Doogie works out.

I thought this one was great. It works two out of three times, guaranteed!
So I wasn't the only one tempted to try The Naked Man one day?

My wife is from Minnesota and has 4 older brothers.

I now know what living with 4 brothers is like and I'm officially scared of my brothers-in-law. One of them is a cop too!

Funny episode.
Definitely one of the best episodes this season. Marshall is a badass.

"I've mentioned Doug before. I haven't?"

Retroactive insertion of Doug into previous episodes: priceless.
Just watched this on CBS.com and Just proved what Ive been saying for 4 years best sitcom sence AD left the air
post #48 of 150
Yeah. So far, there's no weak episode this year. Barney killed me with his jingles.

Was Marshall singing Robin's song at the end?

the Minnesota bar was nice.

the Canadian bar... Hilarious. Loved that Marshal started singing Robyn's Mall song.
While it wasn't the best episode ever. Marshall singing Let's Go to the Mall was just amazing. So were Barney's jingles. The thing this show does best is take your basic sit com trappings and just make them work in a hilarious fashion.
