HIMYM season 4 - Page 2

While I liked this episode the whole subplot with Teds sister was garbage. The show is usually better than that. Oh we pretended to sleep together to teach you a lesson - Uh.....how? We made you think we slept together to prove we didn't sleep together, but you thought we did so now don't you feel stupid Ted?

While Venkman is technically correct, he forgets to mention that Barney's renditions of Christmas songs was...wait for it...LEGENDARY.
They were Legandary! I had to endure a childrens christmas concert last night and all I kept thinking were the Barney renditions of the songs!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ77p...eature=related

CBS released a youtube of them... AWESOME!

I especially liked the youtube comment discussions about the bro-code and how Barney couldn't sleep with her and then someone pulled out a clause from the bro code that said he could based upon her level of hotness.

The show is better than that and that's why I don't think they pretended to sleep with each other. I foresee another Bro-Code episode in the future.

Good episode last night. Marshall's comment about Kim Kardashian was golden, as were Barney's thoughts on world peace. Even though this show isn't The Office or 30 Rock levels of awesome, it is a great, traditional-style sitcom.
It's different than 30 Rock, but as enjoyable.

Barney smashing all those televisions, especially shopping for one, left me in stitches.

Barney confessing at the end was sad, because Robin obviously didnt understand.
"Thank you, hot girl my wife keeps telling me is famous but I keep forgetting!"

I liked the accelerated sequence where Ted and Robin agree to be just roomies, fight, end up in bed again.

"I have the Share Bear!"
The way they've evolved the Barney character from the beginning has been spectacular. Most shows don't do the slow burn the way they have with that. And him smashing the TV's and smoking a cigarette in the kindergarden class was too funny.

Another good episode tonight. I liked the somewhat unusual set-up that had everything happening on different nights. A lot of people don't like it when sitcoms do things that are just completely insane but the marching band at the airport was awesome.

Seconded. I knew that was going to happen, and thought it was going to be cheesy, but it was sweet.

The fourth season has been outstanding. I was a little worried that the show was losing some of its steam back in the third, but every episode has been well written and hilarious.

I think one of the things that makes me like this show so much is that I just really like all of the characters. The only one that gets on my nerves sometimes is Ted, but he's gotten a lot better since the beginning of the show.

On another note, did Cobie Smulders look like she was starting to show her pregnancy a little bit last night? I thought I saw a little baby bump. Does anyone else here think the show's writers are going to work her pregnancy into the show via Barney?

I noticed it but I really hope not baby's tend to ruin TV shows and would kill this show unless this season is the last. Robin can't exactly sit in the bar with a kid.

I enjoyed last night episode though. I need to watch it again cause I missed some of it.
Cobie did look like she filled out a bit but hardly noticeable. For some reason I got this weird vibe off of her interactions with Marshall and when he started going on about her hitting on him I thought it was amazing. Maybe I projected the vibe but it fit perfectly with what Marshall was saying.

Alyson H.. was showing more than Cobie. It was sad the only time you see Alyson from the waste down, she is sitting on the couch covered in books and papers.
If they aren't done filming, I wonder if they will work either of the pregnancies into the storyline.

I liked the Limo Driver and the liquor store guy. Small roles that made me laugh hard.

Lilly's pregnant belly was awesome! the rest of the episode was ok.
I thought it was great. Barney once again rules. I must have missed it, but Lilly's pregnant?

Alyson Hannigan and Colby Smolders are both pregnant in real life leaving them in a rather precarious position on the show. I've liked the way they'd handled it so far and last night was no except. That was a good gag. I liked the whole episode really Barney's resume was sweet.
I knew that Smolders was pregnant, but I knew they didn't address it. I thought Hannigan's character was pregnant too.
Barney's resume was legendary (Sorry), particulary the song he was singing about himself.

I actually thought they were going to write Cobie out because of her baby, I thought tonight would be the perfect opportunity. Obviously not a permanent basis, but at least long enough for them not to have to shoot around 2 pregnant women on the show.
"When you were a baby I left you with a sitter and spent three weeks with Grand Funk Railroad getting passed around like a bong."

Ladies and gentlemen, it could only be... Barney's mom.

Fake Wife was great too.

Episode wasn't legendary but it was nice to see HIMYM back on the air after such a long rerun stint.
It's an episode I admired (For it's parody of generic sitcoms) more than I actually liked. Parts of it were funny, and suprisingly Ted got the biggest laughs from me.

every time I see Lily with a beer, I wonder how awful it is to see a pregnant lady drink.

best part of the episode was passed-out-on-sleepin-pills Robin.
C'mon, Marshall dressed as the Ultimate Warrior? That's a win!
"Well, I too am being ironic."
Every time I watch the news I think "I hope that's not my gun".

Did anyone else notice the waiter at Ted and the Ex's lunch was Scooter? I guess he really did become the best waiter.

this was a quirky episode. Loved the night gown stuff.
where I live night gowns work, but I live in Canada and you want to be warm here.

Suit-jamas.

Come On, Wake Up, New York.

Loved the "fired" room bits. Especially with Barney sleeping with a girl under the table and then firing her. Classy.

Why the fuck did they air the new episode at 8 and the repeat AT THE USUAL TIMESLOT?

They did? I could have sworn the channel guide had "Two and a Half Men" listed afterward. I just watched the re-run (which I hadn't seen before), then turned off the TV to get some work done. Nice going, CBS.
I thought last night's episode was the rare miss although I did like Ted's cell phone pick up attempt.
Yeah, I caught the end of a new ep and then the rerun. The CBS website isn't streaming it yet either.

Hey, I almost watched Big Bang last week when they had Summer Glau on. What more do they want from me?
Wait, there was a new episode last night? Bastards!
They ran a very poor advertising campaign for it. I don't get why they wouldn't run The Bracket first but it was nice to watch that episode again such a classic.

I think they've done a good job of building episodes around hiding the girls bumps over the last few weeks. The Canadian sex acts and the firing room were both great bits.

Did you try right-clicking on the pictures?

Oh man, this episode is going to send some people around here into fits of ecstasy.

Cue:

Wailing sax.

Wow. Just for the opening scene alone.

Also:
"I know the Teen Wolf looks different, but try to make him feel included."

Yeah, I completely lost it at the Teen Wolf.

In the bit where Marshall beans an offscreen kid with the ball, I'm pretty sure Segel is about to crack up.

Was the 'no quarter' line a reference to The Great Santini? It's been forever since I've seen it.
It killed me when Marshall's voice squeaked as he shrieked "Lily, NO!" as he dove out of the way of the chair.
