Fake "discussion" Radio commericals for new TV shows

I really don't know what you would call these. Except the current bane of my existence. If you listen to terrestrial radio you know what I'm talking about. I've heard them in the past for CBS shows like "How I Met Your Mother" and NBC shows like "Earl". And now they're driving me mad shilling for FOX shows like "Fringe" and "House." In it the host of the commerical is talking to people on what sounds like a bad phone connection. They try to make witty banter about the upcoming show. The people on the phone are soooooo annoying I WANT TO MAIM THEM. The Fringe one had this super-cute couple talking about having a Fringe party and the announcer joked how they invited the whole world. "Uh-oh!" Tee hee. The new House one has a woman posing as a nurse giggling like a schoolgirl about the show. Please make them stop...please...

Yeah. It's a poor attempt at marketing.

I hate these so much I dedicated a week's worth of blog entries to mocking them. Truly intolerable.

You're not the only one. They do these bullshit "Fox Super-fan" radio calls and they are cringe-inducing.

This week's about House and Fringe was the worst yet (and is referenced in the 1st post).

I'm not too fond of these either. Like I need an ad to excite me over finding out why Gibbs' team was disbanded on tonight's season premiere of NCIS followed by the series premiere of Simon Baker as The Mentalist.

So remember, I don't like these ads and I don't feel I need them to excite me over the season premiere of NCIS tonight at 8 followed by the series premiere of The Mentalist at 9.

You haven't heard bad commercials on the radio until you've listened to Air America.
