"In a personal attack on Mr Cameron, she said there was something not "quite right" about him.

"He's the kind of man your mother used to warn you about," she said. "He'll promise you the world. But if he ever got his wicked way with you - in the ballot box - you'd never hear from him again."

After the Boris Johnson fiasco I've lost faith in the British voters. At least when the Americans vote in an idiot they do so in an almost naive way, we voted an idiot to run our Capital system because we thought it'd be hilarious.

I think Cameron's the next PM though, unless Milliband stages a really impressive coup in the labour party.

Yeah Cameron's a lock for PM. As for voting Boris in, that's what you get when you vote based on how much you like the person, or how funny he is.

Ken Livingstone was something of an attention grabber, but he also did a fairly decent job of running the city. Johnson was literally voted in for the sake of irony.

Johnson's appearances on Have I Got News From You did seem to change his reputation from stupid upper class twat to Ironic Legend.

I'd say Boris johnson's a little smarter than many give him credit for- a lot of it's a deliberate persona that's been very successful in making him stand out from his party.
Doesn't make him a good mayoral candidate, however.
