Choke! Who's going?

I'm super excited about this. I'd like to suggest meeting up at Taco Mac afterward, but I'm not entirely sure that my +1 will be up to it. But if others are going out afterward anyway, we might be able to join you. Is anyone else at least going to the screening?

I wish I could go...I have passes but Henry Rollins is in town and I already got tickets for that.

Sent Nick a message a little while ago explaining why I didn't go:

Sorry I missed CHOKE last night. After work yesterday, I started looking for gas so I'd have enough to make it to the screening and back. Drove all over effing Marietta looking for it and came up with jack shit (shite?). I even took a vacation day today just so I could stay out late last night. So, I hate I didn't get to go and that my pass was wasted, but stuff happens. How was the movie?.

So glad I went. The movie was great. Good to have a night out after a pretty lousy week. Thanks again for the pass.

www.gasbuddy.com I want to V8 slap people who waste gas... looking for gas. On the way home from the screening, my friend and I were laughing, and cursing, at people lined up in the street blocking traffic around the two gas stations on Roswell Road that actually had gas. I don't know what part of Marietta you're in, but I hear the Exxon at the corner of Johnson Ferry and Upper Roswell Road has had fairly steady supply. Probably because they rape you with their prices so they're the absolute last resort of everyone who lives in the area.

I checked online before I went out and the places that supposedly had gas certainly didn't by the time I reached them. I was also on the clock at work and was in a hurry to get back so I could clock out to leave for the movie. I tried my best.

But slap away, sister! HARDER! I saw you at Meehans after the Tropic Thunder screening, so I'm not worried.

Sorry to hear that. You really missed out! I have been keeping a couple of empty 1 gallon gas cans and about $10 in ones in my trunk, just in case I do find myself needing gas immediately and the only station around has a ridiculous line. Park the car, hike the skirt up and let the hair down, and walk up to someone filling up and sweetly ask if they'd mind filling mine up, too. That's the plan, anyway. If there's a $20 limit I'm in trouble.

You should be. Unless you're into that sort of thing, I guess.

I'm just bustin' your balls, Jennifer. Go swipe the blacked-out text beneath my last post.

Even though is this Atlanta and the movie hasn't gotten the best reviews. I may just say fuck and walk over to the theater due to sheer boredom.

Wait, are you in Atlanta? Or are you just littering our thread? You definitely should go see the movie. I don't know what the hell is wrong with all the critics! Sure, it's not perfect, but it's very good and even Palahniuk is reportedly quite pleased with it. I want, no I need, to go see it again!

No I'm not. I was just saying since I noticed this was the only CHOKE related thread so I figured I'd mention something.

Yes, I noticed. That's why I asked. Your post was not totally clear.

There's a CHOKE thread in Focused Film, but it's all good. Comment here, there, whatever. You'll find me in any and all threads regarding it!
