Mogwai - The Hawk is Howling

So, did anyone else pick this up besides me? It's good, more quiet than Mr. beast and they do some new more upbeat stuff on it. Oh and there is a song with vibraphone on it so I love that song.

Heard it, don't love it but I dont' know that they've ever released a record that I loved.

But they played the shit out of a number of the new songs when I saw them last week and they sounded really good all amped up. The dynamics really come out, and luckily the audience was super quiet when they were suppsed to be, so the quiet stuff worked well.

Yeah I just recently have gotten into Mogwai, I never appreciated them before. I like them much more now, back when they first started I was a stupid angry kid who thought they were just ripping off Slint and that people should like Slint instead of them. I was pretty stupid. I guess You and I have a similar taste in music because I always notice that you reply to my music messages, I am a dork.

Mogwai is ok on CD, but they're an experience meant to be seen live.

I absolutely love Mogwai's albums, but have yet to see them live, unfortunately. I suppose I'm in for a real treat when I finally do.

I feel like an idiot, I didn't even know they had a new album out. *runs to go pick it up*
