Great Horror movies all October long @ The Silent Movie Theater

For LA horror fans, this month's schedule at the Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax is basically unbeatable. There are too many awesome films to mention in one post, bit to name a few -- NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, EVILSPEAK, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, THE DEADLY SPAWN, THE HIDDEN, VERSUS, TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD, SHOCK WAVES -- the list goes on and on. Most, if not all in 35mm. I'll be hosting a few nights as well, and the month closes with a karaoke Halloween party. See the full schedule --

I'll probably regret it, but I'm all over the "Evil Children" festival.

The triple feature Fulci tribute sounds awesome, but I naturally have a work deadline that evening. Blast!

Between this, the Patton Oswalt New Beverly series and Screamfest, I may have no money whatsoever for Halloween candy.

I smell a potential L.A. Chewer get together!

I've wanted to go to this theater for ages now, every time I drive past it kills me, and reading about their lineup this month if I had my way I'd be there practically every night. If I can get these damn goombahs off my back with their vig I'll scrape enough together hopefully for at least one of these. Return Of The Living Dead, Masque Of Red Death, I Walked With A Zombie, Freaks, Night Of The Demons/Faust (top priority!), Body Snatcher/Isle Of The Dead, Kaidan, Curse Of The Cat People, Serpent And The Rainbow, Zombie/The Beyond: it's ridiculous! Out of all this madness which Chewer night sounds best?

I'm personally psyched about EVILSPEAK 'cause Clint Howard will be in attendance and the film is incredible, but I will be there a lot so let me know in this thread if any of you chewer's will be there. They've got a great back patio and I hope to keep the beer a'flowin.

Oh, and just so you know, for 25 bucks you get access to the theater all month long plus a free tub of popcorn.

I don't know if I'll make any of the other shows, but I'm definitely going Halloween night for The Tingler. They don't have advance ticket sales there, do they?

Yeah they do.

Well, I guess I better get over there and get my Tingler tickets, then.

EVILSPEAK tomorrow night @ 8

I'll probably be running the Q&A with Clint "Ice Cream Man" Howard after the show. Plus, I believe there will be beers!
