Found this while playing around with hypem.com. Thought it was a fun list. I can think of others which could be added, such as the one done for Next Wave.

What, no love for Anthrax's Dredd-fest "I Am the Law"?

Plus Monster Magnet does a great tune about an obscure Thor/FF villain "Ego The Living Planet"

No Megadeth Punisher songs either?
How is Catch Me Now I'm Falling by the Kinks not on that list?
Ridiculous... Where's The Spin Doctors - Pocket Full Of Kryptonite?
The Crash Test Dummies are owed a big apology for this stunning oversight.
And absolutely no mention of Magneto & Titanium Man by Wings?
And what of poor forgotten Donovan? Superman and Green Lantern ain't got nothing on him.

REM's cover of The Clique's "Superman".
No Entombed "Wolverine Blues" = List invalid.
Fuck it. I'll make the argument for "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron."
Then I shall make the argument for "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells."

*has a spiked eggnog with Bob Clark, tries to figure out if we're arguing, realizes we'd be arguing about Christmas songs featuring comics characters, gets very sad*

And there's that M.O.D.O.K. reference in "Baby Götterdämerung," as well. Although I suppose that's just an allusion, not really a full song about him (like Del Tha Funkee Homosapien name-dropping Kitty Pryde on the Judgment Night soundtrack or Weezer doing the same on "In the Garage").

King of Mars was definitely based on John Carter Warlord of Mars. That's more blatant than "So what would MODOK do?"
I'd toss a vote to the Ramones' cover of the Spider-man theme song.

You could have a lot of Superman songs on there. He seems to pretty popular with the musicians. I punched in Superman the other day to search my Itunes and I think I had ten or more songs.

Yeah, but it's M.O.D.O.K.

....you make a compelling argument.

Where's Sunshine Superman by Donovan? I've always thought that the song was about Aquaman

Only that song ain't about Wolverine at all. The fact that the music video actually had Wolverine in it was a deal made with Marvel by Entombed's label, and they were the first surprised when they saw it.

On topic, Irish trash outfit Gama Bomb has a song called "In the court of General Zod"

(and not having the Rollins Band's version of Ghost Rider on that list is a travesty)

Isn't that just a namecheck, as in Aimee Mann's "Save Me" or the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight"? Surely it's a less jarring omission than Wesley Willis' "I Wupped Batman's Ass".
The song's called Sunshine Superman. But it's probably only about LSD or being naked in the woods or some other hippy shit.

Mutants in Mega City One has long been a favorite of mine, I would put it higher on the list. The video of it on youtube is good too.

16 muties on a dead man's chest!
Heatseeker missile will do the rest!

HA!
