But every time I burn the disc, it's convinced that the track is still 3:33, and leaves a minute and a half of blank space at the end of the track. I even rebooted the computer, to no avail. Same problem.
Weird. I'd suggest editing the song via i-tunes also. If you highlight the song, left click it, check options you should be able to input when exactly you want the song to begin and end and burn it that way too. That might do the trick.

Bendrix, mailing yours out tomorrow. Sorry about the delay! I've had trouble with my burner!

Mattioli, I'll be sending your discs out tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll arrive by Friday.

Two problems:
  1. As I mentioned above, the first track on disc two is weird. I've tried everything to fix this, but no matter what I do, there's a minute and a half of blank space at the end of it. Bugs me.
  2. My photo printer has been coughing up blood lately, so the snazzy covers I made up may be a little harder to read than I'd like. I'm going to reproduce them here just so you can read the tracks.

Only mailed mine out yesterday, so it's not like I'm the punctuality maven. As long as I get it before Halloween, it will serve its purpose well.

CD's away, Ryan. Sent it Priority, so yes, it will get there before Friday. Got your PM. No worries, take your time.

My printer, like Greg's, is on its deathbed, and isn't printing my cover properly, so I'll just post it here:

Bendrix, got the CD. Thanks!

Be warned of mine...the track list is me trying to be creative and ending up looking like a three year old. You'll see. I'll post the songs on here in case you can't read it.

(pops champagne). Happy 3000th!

Right I made you the OST to a fake Zombie film.

You can get the mix HERE and below is the synopsis of the film with handy breaks for the tracks

Track 1 – Black Wave/Bad Vibration - Arcade Fire

Five friends drive back to their hometown, high as kites and reeking of ale.
In the middle of the road appears a man, his flesh rotting and stale.

They stop the car, and offer their help.
The man simply stares, before unleashing a ghoulish yelp.

He lunges forth, his corpse juddering with unseemly speed.
He catches one, and rips the throat out as he begins to feed.

Track 2 – A Stray Child - Akira Yamaoka

Flecked with blood and rocked with shock, the friends make a hasty retreat.
They find, however, that there hometown is all but deserted, the screams of the dying hanging in the air. They get out of their car in the city centre to discover a throng of people, asking for help the friend’s cries are seemingly ignored.

Track 3 – High Rises - Ladytron

The crowd surges into life and turns to face the friends. All of them have suffered serious injury, all have pallid skin and all look at the friends with salivating eyes. Before the friends can react they charge forward forcing the survivors to run back towards the outskirts of town, abandoning their car in the process.

Track 4 – Drove Through Ghosts - 65daysofstatic

After running for so long the friends stumble across a deserted car, checking the coast is clear one of them attempts to hotwire the car. The engine fails to start as a few zombies appear on the horizon, forcing the engine with everything they have the car splutters into life and lurches forward into the zombie horde.

Track 5 – Peregrine - Appleseed Cast

The car jerks to a halt on the outskirts of the town, the friends are forced to disembark and run to a seemingly deserted shopping complex. Quickly barricading themselves in the friends soon find that all TV and Radio signals have been shut down.

Track 6 – Clair De Lune - Debussy

The friends spend the first night on the rooftop watching for planes or any sign of help, all around them the zombie horde grows in size.

Track 7 – Long Nights - Eddie Vedder

The night turns to day and the day turns to a week as the friends become increasingly aware of the fact they are trapped and alone.

Track 8 – World’s End Girlfriend - Nujabe

Cranking the Mall’s PA up to max the friends attempt to bolster their spirits by partying hard. Their mood is ruined when the zombies finally breach the first barricade forcing the friends to take shelter on the roof.

Track 9 - Raindrops - Chopin

The zombies constantly batter at the roof door as supplies start to dwindle and escape plans are hatched.

Track 10 - Noon - Eric Serra

The zombies break down the door, prompting a desperate bid by the friends to stem the tie.

Track 11 – Ark - Pneuma

With no way to stop the zombies movements, the friends start to scale the side of the mall and eventually find themselves in a car park. The friends find and hotwire a new car and decide to travel to the next town

Track 12 – And She Would Darken - The Twilight Sad

Rolling fields of corn are ablaze as the walking dead litter the landscape, smoke stretches up from every town the friends pass and the fuel gauge starts to waver towards empty.

Track 13 – Really, How’d It Get This Way?

As the car starts to run out of fuel the friends spot a light on in one of the farmhouses. They explore the house, trying to mask the unpleasant scent of an abattoir that hangs in the air, but find nobody home. When, however, they try to exit the house they meet the occupant of the house and the nasty looking, and blood encrusted, circular saw he uses to dispense with all of his visitors.

Track 14 – CN Tower Belongs to the Dead

END CREDITS.

I just received Greg David's mix and am currently getting odd looks from my fellow office workers as "Avi Satani" blasts from my computer's speakers. Ah, good times.

Thanks, Greg!
I love Halloween music, so I'd be happy to send a couple of discs through the internet to somebody who got shafted or anyone who wants one.
Nice looking list, Spike. I'll download when I get home. I'll also try to upload yours to this site but you may want to give me an email address just in case I fumble it. I never use these share sites so I'm a bit illiterate in this area.

Won't be home until tonight (so I shielded my eyes from the posted tracklist), but I won't be celebrating Halloween till tomorrow, so no worries. I will post the tracklist for yours (I was trying to be all mysterious) tonight as well, hopefully.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Yeah, luckily I (a) have my own office, and (b) know that song well. A well-timed tweak of the volume and peace was preserved.

Did you receive my mix yet?
Yes, it was waiting when I got home today, so just in time. Of course, I didn't recognize it at first, because it had an official law offices address label on it, which confused me. I thought I was being served or something.

I notice we traded the same Weird Al song. And we both have Scooby-Doo, but by different artists. Great minds and all that.

Siouxsie & the Banshees were popular this go-round.

You can never go wrong with a little Siouxsie Sioux.

Wow, totally forgot to post the tracklist. Wonder no more, Parker. Some of my choices may be more evident once you see the titles.

While I was by no means as thorough as the wondrous beauty of Spike's opus, I did have a movie framework in mind.

Reel 1[B]

1) The Killing Spree -- The Chromatics (Introduction: Night. A suburban home being stalked by a first-person camera, each member of the family has their throat slit as they sleep.)
2) Death to Death -- Stars (Opening Credits)
3) The Valleys -- Electrelane (More potential victims, all camping)
4) The Wolves (Act I and II) -- Bon Iver (Nature's scary, wolves howl)
5) I've Been Riding with the Ghost -- Songs: Ohia (Spooky stories told over the campfire, story is told of killing of house in opening credits and how the killer was never found)
6) How Will You Meet Your End -- AA Bondy (Last one a humdinger about how the woods are cursed, drive people crazy, or somesuch.)
7) We Know Where You Live -- Arab Strap (A killer strikes comely female hiker's home, murders parents, reveal: comely young female hiker is murderer. She wakes up. It was just a dream...)
8) Big Top Halloween -- Afghan Whigs (Or was it? Body part of your choice from family member of your choosing found in tent)
9) The Rat -- Dead Confederate (Comely young hiker hides evidence from others. The hikers try to head home, only to find the way back rendered inaccessible. They are lost. One of the hikers discovered dead.)

--

Reel 2
10) Lost Carol -- Akira Yamaoka (Shock. Did the comely young camper do it?)
11) Roscoe -- Midlake (Hikers make the best of it, trying to survive on what rations thy have left.)
12) Fear -- Low (Night. Comely young hiker going crazy with paranoia. Is she the killer? Survivor girl discovers hidden body part, confronts comely young hiker, interrogates her; she runs off into the woods)
13) The Curse of Millhaven --- Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (Starving, exhausted, hallucinating, comely young hiker snaps, returns to campsite attempts to kill off fellow campers, succeeds, saving her interrogator for last)
14) Halloween in Heaven -- Type O Negative (Face-off between interrogator girl and comely young female)
15) Nightmares by the Sea -- Jeff Buckley (comely young female falls off cliff into undetermined body of water)
16) I Hope I Become a Ghost -- The Deadly Syndrome (Comely young female's body washes up on shore, very obviously dead, survivor girl rescued by helicopter search party in montage)

End Credits
17) Vampirella -- Misterio
18) Cemetery Lawn -- The Rosebuds

The After-Credits Twist Alluding to the Inevitable Sequel
19) I Will Kill Again -- Jarvis Cocker (Survivor girl comes home to the original house in the opening credits. Surveys rotting corpses in beds. Smiles.)

If it doesn't make any sense now, it made sense in my head when I wasn't so tired.

Sure. Despite being pretty and well arranged, there's still a very off-kilter sense of foreboding in that track. Last bit of respite before lowering the boom with those last two tracks and my bonuses.

Hey, Mattioli: On that last track, is that David Cross?

Bendrix: LOVED the mix. Thanks a ton. Lots of good stuff I didn't know very well that you introduced me too. Loved your storyline too. Thanks!

Glad you like. I have not gotten all the way through yours just yet, but I like what I've heard so far. The gentleman wishing us a happy Halloween mid-song cracked our shit up.

Thank you.

Appreciate it, man. The disc came in the mail yesterday and I'm just now listening to it. Have a feeling I'm going to dig this thing. Yours is still in the works. Thanks for the patience. Family crisis is still bogging me down. Stay tuned.

PS - I see 17 tracks on your tracklist, but iTunes shows 30. I guess some of it is just filler, right? Just trying to get it straight.
Yeah, there's stuff after Stabbing Westward. Just keep listening.
