One of the greatest films I have ever seen. This was my introduction to the man's work, and suffice to say I will be watching most else. I just thought I'd mention it on here and say Wow...I haven't seen a modern movie so great in years, and this was made in the mid-90s. If you like Terry Gilliam, surrealism, anything "fucked up" or whatever else that doesn't entail a typical narrative or plot...you must see this movie. It's dark, disturbing and a comedy. I haven't seen those elements gel well before. And I've seen many horror comedies, which I wouldn't describe as "dark" (in a dramatic sense) per se. Movies like Evil Dead are more on the silly side to me.
I am surprised to not hear this movie spoken of more often. Especially on CHUD, which I've read for years. SO GREAT. Man...I have had my faith in cinema restored.
