Maybe the croc "told" him to do it.

I think the only acceptable punishment is feeding him to the animals.

When I was in elementary school, I witnessed a classmate tie a string around a lizard and rip his head off with it. I remembering flipping out on the kid and everyone looking at me like I was the weirdo. This was in Florida. Needless to say, I don't live in Florida anymore.

They're still looking for an effective treatment, by the way. At this point, I think the psychiatric/psychology community has basically concluded that one probably doesn't exist.
Or they could end up as Cops. Or other positions that put them into a position of power over others, a position that they must cause suffering to others. I have met a few 'leaders' in the military to took way too much pleasure in situations were they were screwing your life over.

I wish you guys wouldn't have clarified that one, they did mention something about either the chicken dying or them killing it during the process. All these years I had hoped that one bit was a least not true, thanks for screwing that up for me.
