Can they show Blood Feast and Two Thousand Maniacs uncut?

Huh. I just watched House of Usher today in class. It's very entertainingly non-good.

My future father-in-law's been raving about Mr. Sardonicus for 5 years now. I'll have to catch it. Man, what a lineup. If you guys still haven't seen the Val Lewtons, make sure to check them out.

It's hard to say, really. I guess it all depends on TCM. They're cable and can show almost anything they want. The gore is actually almost tame compared to some other stuff that gets show on cable. An episode of The Shield is worse than those films in terms of mature content. Supernatural nearly matches the gore content on some episodes. Even weak sauce like Heroes shows decapitations. I would think they can get away with these uncut, especially if they show them late.

That's a great lineup this year. There's a few things I haven't seen and some things I haven't seen in a long time. Nice of them to really throw some odd ones out this year. I'm going to have to blow out the DVR's capacity over those two days, I guess.

I have never seen an edited film on TCM. They do usually reserve the more risque content for later in the evening though.

And TCM once again blows away the utter joke AMC's MonsterFest has become. Oh look, they're showing all the Halloween movies AGAIN....

I might be taking a few days off for this.

There's too many titles in there I've never seen.

Wow. GREAT line-up. Nice variety too.

Holy shit!

Sardonicus is bizarrely fun. There's a cluster of Castle! And Lovecraft!

Outside of "Blood Feast", and a bit of "2000 Maniacs", most of those can fly on broadcast television with no problem.

My Tivo may be getting a workout.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how much data my DVR can hold.

Oh shit, that list is amazing. No sleep for me.

I'm envious of you Americans all of a sudden.
Kwaidan seems a little out of place, though. I wonder if they'll opt for the US or international cut?

I love Kwaidan, but yeah, it's out of place there. I'd go as far as to say that it shouldn't be classified as horror, although the first vignette has a few tense moments.

Still, it's nice to see something relatively obscure like that getting some exposure.

I'm very impressed with that list, but a little disappointed that I've already seen almost all of them. Still, a fuck load better than the crap ACM's been showing.

I caught Mr. Sardonicus today--it was much more interesting than I expected it to be. Castle's appearance was pretty good too. I'm looking forward to the big Lovecraft finale.
