Ryan Adams & The Cardinals -- Cardinology

I may be one of the only Ryan Adams fan around here, but I can admit that he is hit-or-miss. Luckily, he releases a new album every five minutes so you get plenty of hits AND misses!

Anyone listened to this new one? It's his best work in awhile. While I really enjoyed his last album, it didn't stick with me that much. This one seems like it will.

Anyone? Anyone?

I'm listening to it right now, and haven't really formed an opinion yet. Unfortunately he's never made me shake the feeling that his best days were with Whiskeytown. The Battle is still the best song on his resume, imo.

I've only truly enjoy 3 or 4 tracks so far.

I really want to see them live again, but I'm very nervous about going on a night when Adams decides to meltdown.

Ugh, don't get me started. The one Whiskeytown show I saw he was so drunk as to be incoherent, and the two solo shows I've seen ended early with a tantrum, including one last year at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. I wouldn't bother except I have boots that prove he's capable of bringing it on occasion.

Such a talented douchebag.

I don't think i would have batted an eyelid if it was released as a B-Side type album,it's ok just nothing that i would jump at to put on again (but then i wasn't too keen on "Easy Tiger").

I enjoyed "Born into light","Crossed out name" and "Natural Ghost".
