After tonight's ungodly traffic hell I have decided when the lease comes up in July I am gonna get over the hill. I am done with a valley to Westside commute. Cost of rent or roommates be damned. I cannot put up with this shit anymore.

Going over the hill is an LA expression. It refers to the Santa Monica mountains which divide the city from the valley.

I can sympathize to a degree. I start a new job at Paramount in a couple weeks and I'm dreading the nut-pummeling commute from Encino every day. I may be D-FENS ready by Christmas.

Yeah, I can't imagine living in the Valley. I like Sherman Oaks and all, but once you start going elsewhere it gets a little squirrely. And it's boring as shit. It's like bland American suburbia on a wide scale.

Know anyone with a rent-controlled apartment that you can kill and take over the lease?

Nope. I was always in California, though it used to be north of LA. You figure which area you want to live in yet?

How'd you come up with the idea I lived in Chile? That's kinda odd.

Now I remember. Ryoken had a Busey avatar and I believe he's from Chile. I got the two mixed up.

As for where to live? I'd like to be westside (perhaps even Culver City, Hollywood who knows?) but my lease isn't up until July so I can't really start a serious search until after next year.
