Palin v. McCain

Remember when we kept on finding out more and more about Sarah Palin and how there was this pattern: she would have a benefactor and then she would sell that benefactor out and use it as a platform to a higher position? And a couple people, I know yt for definite and probably others, made jokes about how McCain should watch his back if he's elected...

well...

Ben Smith and Jonathan Martin at Politico are both writing about tension between the Palin and McCain camps. Ambinder discusses it. CNN is reporting it. Olbermann discussed it because he smells blood.

The shorthand is McCain is attempting to pin the dismal status of the campaign on Palin. Palin is attempting to show that blame it on McCain and her campaign adviser... playing McCain off the base in order to advance her chances in four years.

This is so much fun to watch.

I'm just excited to see this sentence in real life.

I thought the line in the politico story about her not trusting anyone in the campaign or in her family was pretty telling. She may eventually reveal herself to be a classic Ted Bundy-style narcissistic sociopath. If Obama wins, I'd be happy to see McCain write his mea culpa autobiography and attempt to regain his dignity, but I really hope the Palin balloon gets deflated. She strikes me as dangerous when given access to any kind of power.

McCain should just blame himself. His camp picked the bitch, now he gets to deal with the consequences.

It is fun to watch, though. Especially since it's happening before the election.

Hahaha her political career is over. You don't go rogue and stay in the Republican Party.

Whoops... wrong thread... how did that happen?

Someone on tv pointed out that it made no sense for McCain's people to blast her now and that the anoymous sources are could probably be Romney people who joined the McCain camp late. It makes sense that they would want to destroy her now to help Romney in 2012.

Still fun to see the VP pick collapse.
