I didn't read far enough

Interesting finding, but the fact the study was funded by the copper industry makes me very skeptical.

Everything on this planet is so disgusting. I wish I lived in a bubble. I need to go wash my hands.

It a known fact that most metals do kill most infectious agents. Now which metal is best or fastest is something I don't know. Most metal surfaces are self sterilizing in less then a minute. Silver is probably faster then copper, but is the cost worth it. That said stainless steal is most likely good enough. Regardless we are talking about clean metal surfaces, and any grime renders the point mute.
