The Official "how I voted" thread - Page 3

I voted for the first time ever at about 2:30 this afternoon. There was absolutely no line, which surprised me because on Friday evening the line was winding down the street in front of the government center where I vote. In fact, that street was nearly impassable all last week because there was so much early voting traffic. But today I walked right in and 4 of the 10 or 12 booths were empty.

I voted for Obama. The rest of my ballot was comprised of a good mix of democrats, republicans, and libertarians, except where there were no challengers to the incumbent republicans... and in Georgia that was damn near ALL of the local positions.

Ohio: 2 votes for Obama, three if you count my nine year old's practice voting.

In addition, I did it on a paper ballot rather than electronically. After all the talk in CHUD about the hacking possibilities, I couldn't trust them.

Voted via absentee last week. Im in Chicago, by the way.

Barr for President.

Eclectic mix of Libertarians and Democrats for the remainder. One Republican thrown in there for good measure.

I voted in Richland Township (in the Johnstown, PA area). Voted for Obama (who else?), Representative John Murtha, and the other Democratic candidates right down the ballot.

Was really quick and easy.

I'm late, but I voted for McCain (after some soul-searching), and the Democrat House Rep. of AZ Giffords. I also voted for Prop 102 (yes, I'm one of THOSE), and was glad it passed.

I don't mind that Obama became pres. Part of me is pretty excited at the historical aspects of it. But I still have major reservations about his political goals. Here's hoping it works out.
