Coach Maradona

It's been announced for like a week Cap.

I was against it at first, but he really put together a solid coaching team. Calling up a bunch of other '86 world champion players to help him out. Most of whom have been coaches themselves, and very successful ones.

So i'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. He is a strong symbol. And it was bound to happen one day. Our team had been in ruins lately, so it can't really be worse.

Yeah, I read the announcement before but was reading about this last night and was wondering what you thought.

I used to be a fan of his, but boy oh boy is he really not the image of what I picture as a serious coach. No discipline and dangerously out of shape, this seems like a desperate move.

Has he ever displayed any type of coaching ability before? This just seems like a stunt move.

He coached a team back in '96.
And he was the unofficial coach of the showball team.

Out of shape? Since when do coaches need to be in shape? Have you seen pictures of Basile? Our previous coach?

Plus, i don't really care much for soccer.

What? Really?

There go my preconceptions about Argentinians.

I'd also like to add that I find Maradona one of the most irritating persons alive. He seems like a huge douche.

That's because he is.

This is a head-scratcher, for sure.
