Just a reposit for the images that moved you, outraged you, or made you laugh. Here's mine.

That white kid is a real Maverick; reaching across the aisle like that.

There were a lot from this campaign*, but for some reason, the one that has stuck with me from Tuesday is that one of Ron Paul.

*Huffington Post doesn't seem to have it, but the one of Obama speaking in the rain and pointing...Jesus. Also, the one of Obama leaning against a wall in black & white. I'm sure there are many of those.

I'm in love with democracy right now.

This one I believe is from the morning, but the look on the boy's face just gets me choked up every time:

It's acting wonky now, but there's the link for posterity.

The one of Obama bumping fists with a little boy!

All of these. They just put Obama's win in a global perspective.

Maya Angelou's reaction: "We all rise!"

I love this one. It was in a flash slideshow on the bbcnews website, and I haven't been able to find another (larger) version of it anywhere. I know that it is somewhat sappy...but I don't care.

There was a great one on the cover of the Trenton Times on Wednesday that I can't find anywhere, but it was two guys (one black, one white) standing next to each other with their arms raised in jubilation at Grant Park.

I'm not convinced that woman in the third picture isn't screaming because she's just out of her mind.

Haha. I love this one. It reminds me that next year, I really have to break down
and go as Ben Gazarra in SAINT JACK for Halloween.

Even in the most far-flung outpost. (This one makes me wonder just what
the armed services vote looked like.)

You seldom see these four guys together. It's perfectly possible that One Plouffe and One Obama = One Gibbs.

The McPalin reaction shots are also amusing in a schadenfreude-y sort of way.

That's got to be a wide angle lens. One Gibbs = One Axelrod there.

They're not going to need to find a position for Plouffe. He can just ride around in Gibbs' jacket pocket.

I like this one because it really tells the story of Obama's relationship with his mother-in-law. He's human after all.

I love this site.

The day before the election but fantastic picture.

Again, not an election night photo, but I saw this on Flickr and it gave me a good laugh.

Yeah, put in Denzel, amp up the Zimmer score and you got your next Bay blockbuster "THAT ONE"

What you hear about Obama?

They say he the one and only.

Can you dig it??!!

in Seattle

And this with typical Seattle irony. And then a drag queen sang the national anthem.

Traffic is blocked off at a huge cross city thoroughfare.

Another angle.

That YouTube link of Seattle on election night ... damn, it chokes me up every time I watch it. I don't think we've seen this sort of spontaneous outpouring of adulation since the end of World War II. I feel good about this country again.

The Journey song doesn't hurt either.

Yeah it also helps that there are literally 30+ bars within a 5 block radius of that intersection. The Journey song is being blared from the roof of Seattle's biggest gay dance club.

Since we're posting links, I really thought the Daily Show's "montage" from Tuesday hit a nice tone between funny and kind of touching. Any montage that includes the Ewok Celebration wins in my book.

The movie critic "Outlaw Vern" has some wonderful commentary here as well:
