A segment doesn't. The ones who are above 14, it seems. They constantly are jabbering about how they "massacred the book" and how they "cut out the relationships" and how Stewart "never acted like she really loved Edward".
But never a fucking word about Pattinson giving the "Brando farted" look any scene that isn't him and Stewart sans special effects (these are the only scenes in the movie that really work, because they just play off each other - then one of them says a horrible line from the book and ruins it, but up to that point, they're handling it pretty well). I mean, the guy was actively trying to make the character suck, he's admitted it.
The bigger irony is that by sticking to the book as much as they did, they certainly sunk any chance of the film being good. If this thing was handled like Spielberg and
The Lost World - "hey, fuck you, Mike. I'm gonna do my own thing" - it could've turned out good.
