First 8 minutes are online- http://chud.com/articles/articles/17...TON/Page1.html

Seeing this tomorrow, so expect a review by the end of the week. I'm holding onto hope that it's fun, at least, but I have the feeling it might be more painful than anything.

I dug those first 11 mins more than the shitty movies with Milla.

Surprise! It sucks.

Really? That's a shame. I'll still check it out because it has got to be better than the live action flicks.

Eh... maybe. Half the film takes place in extreme darkness where you can barely see what's going on, and the movie really just does feel like one long cutscene that you can't skip.

It was really funny sitting in a theater full of Resident Evil fanboys, though. They went apeshit when Leon appeared.

Haha. I bet. Still a shame. I'll rent it and get really drunk. I just can't believe that RE5 looks better than the 11 min clip you posted. That's just weird.

I borrowed this from a friend. Alex is right, not good. The best bits are in the first ten minutes they showed online, such as the plane crash and the zombies mindlessly shuffling out of said plane and falling. They cram an annoying kid in, and Leon (shitty haircut aside)doesn't even resemble the guy from RE2 and RE4. The CGI is competent I guess, but the faces and expressions are so weak(blank) that it brings down everything else.

There's plenty of blood, but no real gore either. They should have just made this a traditional anime. They would have saved a ton of cash, it would have looked more interesting, and the cheesy dialogue and non-existent characters would have worked better in that format. Also, just like the live-action movies, zombies aren't a big enough presence. They pretty much disappear for the whole second half, and instead, the flick focuses on a giant mutant beast.

Totally, and not even a good cutscene. I was looking around for my remote when Leon was hanging off a ledge or dodging something, so I could jam a button as fast as possible.

I borrowed 4 other (most likely)shitty movies, so here's to bumping more threads that no one asked to be bumped!

Apparantly Jensen Ackles is playing Leon Kennedy in the 4th film.
