Do you love 80's Music?

Thread Starter
First time posting on the Music Thread.

I found this article recently on washed up (In their opinion) 80's music stars.
http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/lis...age=5#comments

1) Rick Astley
2) Jason Donovan
3) Berlinda Carlisle
4) Debbie Gibson
5) Tiffanny
6) Kim Wilde

Any unabashed 80's dance music fans out there? Maybe its just nostalgia, but I find those 80's tunes so much more...danceable than the music we get nowadays. A lot of my friends here in Asia think the same way.

80s dance

Today's dance

It should be noted, I prefer the 90's. 2 legit, 2 legit 2 quit!

edit --

Damnit, watching that clip made me want Footloose in BluRay.

Yaz's "Situation" validates the entire notion of this thread, IMO.

I am sad to admit it but Starship's "Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now" is a favourite of mine. I just can't jumping and smiling at that song.

It certainly got me through that Mannequin movie. That and Kim Cattrall of course.

"Look of Love" by ABC lends its support as well.

I think the existence of this thread alone gives your question an affirmative answer.

It's sort of good that the aforementioned thread only lasted one or two days. There's still hope for humanity.

I don't know if I'm unabashed but Dead Or Alive's "Brand New Lover" gives me the urge to dance, a state of affairs best described as "unfortunate."
