I'm not sure how new this is because I haven't seen it before. Tonight might have been the first showing for all I know, but it's absolutely hilarious. He actually started off with the cancer kids bit from GTA IV, but after that it was all new to me. He's always been one of my favorite comedians, and his shows are great, so to me it was very funny.

Any one else catch this?

I caught the first 15 minutes or so, but it seemed to be the exact same set as FAME (which was great), so I didn't finish. Did he do the bit about fucking a chimp up the ass?

I've never seen his stand-up act, even still, some of the bits felt shopworn, others really stretched. But Gervais is so naturally funny that I enjoyed watching it.

I tend to like comedians who tell their jokes in story form, and I think he does it just as good as anyone. If not better.

I saw him do this show in NYC a couple months ago. Hysterical but brief as fuck.

Affirmative on the Chimp buggery.

Saw this last week over at my parents house (awkward!). I was most impressed that he managed to make a 5 minute bit about Humpty Dumpty funny. "Fucked."

pretty good. he did reuse a lot of material.

i think the brits have a different more conversational approach to stand-up then yanks. I think that might be putting people a bit off too.
