I spent Thanksgiving in Sao Paulo, BZ, on an airline trip. The other two pilots and I went to a Brazilian steak house, which is kind of like a pure meat dim sum.
Waiters come by your table with skewers of hot roasted cuts of beef, pork, lamb, or chicken, as well as hunks of fish, sausages, and various other high cholesterol delights. At your command, they slice off a little of the meat, then move on to the next table.
Combine that with some tortellini, a seaweed and spinach salad, and a bottle of Argentine malbec, and you've got yourself one hell of a meal.
And then we went booming in downtown SP.
So, yeah, I'd rather have been eating dry turkey with my family. But if you've gotta be away, this isn't a bad way to go.
