Anyone else see this:

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqH9T...eature=related

I was never big fan of Nicole Kidman, but she just comes off as being a bit of an... ass-hole? I dunno, ass-hole might not sound right for a woman. She's being a... well fuck if I know.

Go Dave.

Well... if I spelled it phonetically, she would be a CHARLIE UNIFORM NOVEMBER TANGO...
Well, all the Botox has turned her into a DENVER UNIFORM CHARLIE KANGAROO.
Seriously! She must have stole that page from the Meg Ryan playbook...

I couldn't tell. It's hard to get a reading off her frozen features. HA!

But seriously, she probably just isn't used to Dave's personality ... she hasn't been on in, what did they say? 3 years?

When will these beautiful women stop butchering their own faces? Disgusting.

I'm waiting for gossip from the "Australia" set...

"I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. Luhrman!"

I long for the BMX Bandit days.

She was like thirteen there, Ratty! Jesus!
Actually closer to 16, Jake. Legally speaking, Ratty's still in the grey. But ethically, it's a bit of a load off. (I personally recommend Kidman circa DEAD CALM for all your lusty needs!)

Based on feedback from Aussies of both genders, 'Our Nic' is losing favour Down Under. Whether it's her adventures in cosmetic enhancement, her statement that she wants her daughter to have a 'Southern twang' rather than a Strine drawl or the fact that she willingly shares a bed with Keith Urban, people are finding all sorts of reasons to dislike her these days.

Hello, kiddies!

Other than her looks, she just appeared awkward. She didn't keep up with the jokes at all.

You're keeping us honest, Jake. Protective parents the world over thank you.

Now split for a moment while I dazzle this sweet young thing with my many Zac Efron anecdotes!

Sorry. Couldn't find any decent Dead Calm pics.

Now pardon me while I go to the mall with a bag of candy and free iPods.

Am I the only one that sees this as just another slightly awkward Letterman interview? You know, these are not uncommon on that show. Doesn't seem like the disaster that some of you are making it sound.

She also doesn't look horrible, at least in this outing. Sometimes she does have the "crazy stare" mode that is kind of scary, but not here.

On a serious note, Kidman has always struck me as one of the most emotionally fragile actresses working today. In interviews, she always seems incredibly self-conscious about her fame and her career to the point of being socially awkward about it. Jumping into the spotlight as Cruise's new "squeeze" at such an early age was probably the worst thing to happen to her from an emotional standpoint.

Yeah I get the impression from that interview that she is very shy and put off by Dave's manner and questions, especially in front of a live audience.

But my god the plasteel face that she's wearing now...in contrast to her previous, natural face. And that has to represent a much financial investment by her...what a waste
post #19 of 21
A lot of interviewers talk about how shy she is. I remember a quote from some article where the interviewer described talking to her as a chess match. She's very cautious of what she says and how she says it. I'm of the opinion that the Cruise marriage/divorce really did a number on her and only increased her discomfort with the media. A relationship with a controlling Scientologist who overshadowed her at every turn and now allegedly has their children calling the KateBot "Mom" must be intimidating.

And as much as I admire her work, the Botox has to stop. It was honestly distracting at times in Australia how her forehead just NEVER moves. She looks horrid now. Right around the time of Moulin Rouge! is when the face started to change, and now she just looks absurd.

Free iPods? Which mall again?

And I can't help it...duck or not, I still find her attractive.

It was kinda funny how Dave kept putting emphasis on her face early in the interview. You could tell she didn't really want to draw attention to it ... IRONY!
