Marvel Knights Punisher was outright parody and Max Punisher was clearly dark humor... no one who has any concept of Ennis' body of work could deny this.

Just finished this thing again and just a great little gem that the masses dismissed. How dare they?

After my recent viewing, I found some cons:

Too short, should have been 120 min(s) of violent poetry.

More thugs needed to be decimated.

Hotel and Jigsaw finale could have been amped up some more.

Lexi Alexander is married.

Though the last scene with the random thug trying to jack Soap was funny - but when the thug first said, "Hey. Give me you fucking wallet motherfucker." How it came out had me chuckling. The JESUS sign goes off and the skull glows with SAVES still lit. To counter evil, you don't need a Bible in this world, one needs a gat and reckless man balls... Ray Stevenson sized.

This is why the B-Action Movie Thread is so ridiculous. The Punisher Warzone is an insanely fun film, but it's hardly a great movie and to just get cheap laughs off of its gaffs just seems like taking a shot at an easy target. It's like watching a DTV film and laughing at the filmstock.

I'm gonna watch it again tonight so I can pick out my favorite humanitarian moments in PUNISHER WAR ZONE. Right now I'm gonna go with Frank giving the little girl the flashlight. It was a great gesture on Frank's part. If there's one thing that gets me in films, and I mean always makes me have a massive emotional reaction, its depictions of kindness and humanitarianism which are handled in non-saccahrine ways.

You have to respect the Latin King. Punisher banged his head up against the door and called him names in Micro's abode and yet he still did not get pissed at Punisher. Matter of fact, he lead Punisher to RPG Parkour hoodlum to kingdom come. A gangster and a gentleman all in the same breath.

R.I.P. Latin King.

EDIT: Albeit in a subdued pissed voice and tone, Latin King did tell Punisher to "Fuck off, cracker." So LK was pissed - but just for a minute.

Why are you "TRYING" to imply anything? From what I read of fleed's post is that he comes off "odd" with posts and he gets attacked for it and some personally. If he has offended you and/or anyone else - then I don't know. When he posts in the B-Thread, he seems fair.

You're a reasonable person - but why would Spike want to dump on what people say that's relevant to topic and what's in the B-Thread and hurl names at fellow members. I try to make it fun and not attack fellow Chewers. This thread is evident of Spike's insults. He is a knowledgeable person when it comes to Asian films and I have visited the threads. So, why is Spike bent-out-of-shape of what goes on in the B-Thread?

For us to have this convo is LOL (majorly). His Humanitarian Cinema Thread has not been jacked and/or insulted, the same goes for the Asian Thread and him. We know the game when it comes to B-Action Movies and for anyone to say otherwise, it's their opinion - but there's no need to name-call fellow members because you don't happen to like it. While this is a thread about Punisher War Zone, the story of the Legendary Frank Castle, Marvel's Preeminant Supervigilante, is one of the upper echelon film's wonderously glorified by B Action Posters, you know, posters like myself. Also if you have a problem with people getting a laugh, whether it be cheap or whatever, out of B-movie action flicks then why join a thread about said topic when you know those people are there? Again, looking for something to bitch about.

Everyone here needs to calm down and remember that you're fighting faceless strangers on a Punisher movie thread in a borderline infantile manner(you know who you are). Talk about humiliating yourselves.

That said: I just recently watched this, and I think this movie was pretty fun. The only thing I couldn't stand, aside from the obligatory Frank having sympathy for Julie Benz narrative, is the CGI gore. I understand this practice is probably practical for post-production reasons, but it just distracts the hell out of me.
