I knew a girl in college who would paint with her menstrual blood. The process she had to go through to get the right, um, texture was pretty fascinating. And gross.

Well shit man, you realize you have to tell us more right? I love gross!

Well, this was about six years ago, so I'm somewhat hazy on the specifics. My recollection of it is that it involved filtering the menstrual blood into something that would soak it up, then squeezing the product into containers (she used those photo roll containers) and storing it in the fridge. Like I said, you apparently didn't get a lot and it was still hard to handle/use as paint.

Based on that, the picture's actually pretty impressive. The amount of "paint" alone, plus the different shades...that took some time and effort. For a painting of Mega Man.

See, that's what scares me more than anything when I look at that picture. Just knowing the amount of time and effort and the level of obsession that went into it.... For a Mega Man fan pic....

All the menstrual blood ickyness is sort of overshadowed by the intense nerd ickyness.

Yeah, but if you really want to be blown away, check out the work from her Blue Period.

What gets me is that this drawing was a request from her husband. Why Mega Man? That's just so...random.

To be honest: I'm actually impressed with it.

The funny thing to do would be to give it to someone, a huge Megaman fan without telling him how it was made.

People's reactions to it are by far the best part.

This streaks my nerve like nothing before, I can't even expalin why, but it does, and I simply cannot find the creators of it being in good mental health. Therefore, I call'em as I've called them, and I'm taking none of it.

Wow, that guy has soooooo many issues with women and sexuality...

Yeah, it's gross and all, but compared to other bodily fluids menstrual blood isn't really that 'dirty'

If you seriously think that that Mega Man painting is more offensive than Goatse you are fucked in the head

But why MegaMan, dammit, why...

Where's the proof?
Yes, if only there was a making of doc to offer definitive proof.
Why waste your time with that? If you have excess body ink you may as well write out a short story or a reminder to buy tampons. Do something useful.
I don't find this offensive. Perhaps it's because I'm comfortable with the reality of menstrual blood. Not many people can come up with a use for this stuff anyway.

Hey, I got ideas. But every time I bring them up, it's all "violates state, federal and common law," and "utterly without artistic, scientific, or educational merit"
