What the hell is this?

Reminds me of some liquid television shorts.

Also reminds me of Nick's drawings except less doogans.

For a programming block that revolves around cartoons, Adult Swim has always been noticably disinterested in the art of animation. Most of their stuff is very sparsely animated Flash stuff, and some stuff like Tom Goes To The Mayor is more of a slideshow than a cartoon.

Superjail is the antithesis of all that. It's not the funniest show around (in fact, I have a hard time remembering one time I've laughed watching it) but my God is the animation beautiful. It all (appears to be) hand-drawn, and incredibly surreal and imaginative. It's super violent and juvenile, like a Mad Magazine comic come to life, but there hasn't been an episode yet that hasn't wowed me on a visual level. I highly reccomend checking it out.

I caught this last night, i was pretty much WHAT THE FUCK all the way through...and I enjoyed every second. The animation is just amazing.

Superjail is gorgeous. I just want a DVD so I can honestly play an episode in slow motion so I can see ALL of the carnage.

Exactly. I just don't know why Korgoth didn't get greenlit, but this does. Seems like Korgoth was slightly less violent but with a coherent story line.

Not going to series with Korgoth is a sin I may never forgive Adult Swim for. However, I have to say Superjail is pretty solid stuff that is just wonderful on the eyes. Hope it comes to DVD pretty damn quick.
