I'm very relieved that, a. you got it, and 2. you like it. I love Brandon Bird and I love his art, but it is not for everyone's taste. I'm very happy that it is your taste.

Well, finally my brother arrived from NYC today, he came baring gifts!

The amazing, generous and ridiculously good looking Will Kane sent me 2 of my favorite movies of the year, Wall-E and Pineapple Express and a classic, Monster Squad (Which i haven't seen yet and been wanting to for years)
So, i pretty much loved it! And to top that, he sent along the IFC magazine of the CHE roadshow.

Fantastic.

Just out of curiosity Tati, the first two movies were blu-ray or normal?

I'm still waiting on mine but my giver hasn't been around since 22nd of December so I sure he's just been swamped.

After a month of Amazon screwups, I got my gifts from Subotai yesterday:





I tore into the Gibbons book last night, and man is it pretty. Chip Kidd strikes again. And the 100 Bullets will get read as soon as I refresh myself with a couple of the preceding volumes.

A mysterious package showed up from Iceland not too long ago. This package contained something called Astropia. Now, I dont know what it is, but one quick google search assured me what I was holding in my hand was some wild Icelandic Spaced-ish comedy, and that joy would be had.

It saddens me that I have not the region to watch it. But seeing as I've intended to change that for quite some time now, I can think of no better impetus to jump on that.

I have some dude named Thor to thank for this. I'm grateful.

No, and you should love it because its hilarious. Trevor from Beat Kids is absolutely awesome. Any time he shows up prepare to laugh hard. Also, the video giving thanks to slaves was the first clip I ever saw on MTV2 when it originally aired and I was hooked. If you haven't seen it yet, its in the episode entitled "Ocean". Really one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Since we didn't hook up when you were in NY last month, I will just tell you that I also got you two NYC shot glasses and little nip bottles of Jameson and Jack Daniels in the spirit of the time we got hammered in the East Village. I'm too broke to mail them to you, but the next time you are in NYC, they'll be waiting.

Aw man. I was looking forward to hanging out again but I was in a bad way on this last trip. Had to spend a couple of days in the hospital, too. But, I'll be back and we'll be hammered once again.
