Waiting for a great reduction in price for a game?

(til January 2nd)

http://store.steampowered.com/

I wish I were a shill, cause shills get paid, right?

Apologies.

BioShock for five bucks? Wow.
Bioshock for 4.99. 4, 90, fucking, 9.
$5 for Bioshock is pretty appealing.

Check out 'Portal' if you haven't already...

...and for late X-Mas presents, this is IDEAL

Left4Dead...

I can't find Bioshock no more.
But i'm tempted to get Left for Dead and TeamFortress

As the old man here, I was just going to say "fuck that" to everything they had there. Then I saw X-Com: UFO Defense for $3.74. Now that's tempting.

As THE old man here, I say "buy everything to get your synapses firing again...you old coot."

I'll be in the rocker on my back porch if you need me...GRAMPS!!

I just hate shooters. I'm waiting for the day when 50% of games that are released aren't just running around blasting shit. There's nothing about that that fires synapses. That said, Bioshock was classic. Unfortunately, I've already played it twice.

And besides, you're not THE old man. Singer is older than both of us. That's what allows me to face life every day.

World of Goo going cheap by the looks of it.

What?

Unless this is a European thing...go to Action/Single-player...it's on the first page...EVERYONE NEEDS to play this...and at this price there's NO excuse.

Jesus... a mere 5 euros.

I'm seriously interested in World of Goo. I've heard great things. Is there anybody who's played it on both PC and Wii? I'm wondering which is the better control scheme.

There's a thread...

...not sure if it'll answer your question, though.

You could always download the demo.

The PC version handles beautifully. I haven't played it on Wii but if they're the same price, i'd go PC anyway.

Fuck.
Now I AM sounding like a shill...

bollocks.

Go PC Greg. It's way easier to control. It's amazing. Get the game.
Yeah, I think Bioshock isn't available in Europe or something. I remember reading some gripes in a forum somewhere.

I grabbed Bioshock, HL: Blue Shift, and I-Fluid, which is supposed to be a pretty great Katamari-like game with liquid dynamics (also $5). Might have to snag X-Com, too, at that price.

Awesome deals on there, thanks for the heads up.

Picked up TF2. Not sure if i can run it. For 10 bucks though i figured it was worth a shot.

I just played the demo. God dammit, I don't need any more excuses to blow hours away.
Jump to the other thread. But wait till you get to the windmill. And episode 4.
I bought the $5 Bioshock. I played the demo and felt like an idiot for the longest time because I just never got around to buying it. Now I feel like the smartest man in the world.

Company of Heroes. Company of Heroes:Opposing Fronts. Dawn of War:Gold(Dawn of War and Winter Assault). Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. $37.48

By far, the BEST RTS games on the market right now and, in my opinion, will be far superior to Starcraft 2 and nearly every other RTS for the next year. By these sons of bitches and face my Space Marines of Doooooom!

Damn, Mount & Blade was 75% off this weekend. I downloaded the demo to try it out and found the game to be pretty fantastic. Then I went to buy the full game and there's no "add to cart" button anymore and the game has disappeared from the top selling games list. People at the Steam forums are speculating that they ran out of cd keys so they had to stop selling the game.

I'll be getting this game anyway, but it's shame I didn't get to save a few euros. I'd also highly recommend anyone to try out the demo, just don't be scared away by the graphics that look like something from a decade ago.

Mount & Blade trailer.

I bought the first 3 X-Com games, Space Empire 4, and Disciples 2 for about $20. I also went to eBay and got Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich for $6 including shipping. It's been a good few weeks for discount games.
