Little Boots' girl:

That is such a bizarre picture to choose for her.
I heart Little Boots, but that picture is weird. Maybe Akodon took it himself.

I took it from her blog http://www.littlebootsmusic.co.uk/blog/

For every pretty pic there are 3 or 4 cute/childish ones.

From another source:

Elly Jackson and Taylor Swift made it onto my list, today.

Is Elly Jackson the same Elly Jackson from La Roux?

The very same, man.
I never 'got' the appeal of Elly Jackson until I saw the video for Quicksand, and even then I think she's not someone I'd consider a stunner.
That's exactly why I like her so much. She doesn't dress/present herself as stroke material. She just looks like she does, to massively cute effect. Big fan of the understated, non-Maxim approach to women, myself.

I remember a gig involving the dresden dolls and black tape.. That was some years ago mind.

Even though there's less of a "shot" for heteros than usual in this case, Tegan and Sara are deserving of attention.

Stick on Chasing Amy and live in hope.

A good buddy of mine has lived said dream. Problem is, he's got charm like you read about.

NME needs to get on that Cat Power aka Chan Marshall tip

I like the way you move, Beldar.

Yep, good call. It may be prudent at this time to add in Feist as well.
Thats right, lets get some real women on here with real issues, not these little emo girls. That Little Boots looks about 12 as do some of the others, she might be cute like a puppy is cute but she looks far too young to be classified as anything else.

Shrug. She's older than me.
That's crazy,she's older than 21??
If i saw her on a night out i'd just think jailbait and wouldn't go anywhere near her.

24 year-old space-pop Little Boots.

For the record, I threw P.J. Harvey into the mix here ages ago, but no-one bit. Polly's talented, attractive, and certainly not jail-bait.
The only time I've ever seen Little Boots not look staggeringly young is when she performed on Jools Holland.
With the exception of the photo Feral Akodon posted from her blog, she's easily the youngest-looking out of everyone mentioned.
I still think Hayley Williams looks younger, but I have no desire to fuck either of them. I just like, god help me, Little Boot's music.

And just to show how bad my taste in women actually is I submit to you Kate Jackson of the Long Blondes who I've had a massive crush on since I saw them live in 2006

I've had a minor crush on KT Tunstall for quite awhile now, maybe its her accent aswell that gets me, i dunno.

That's an interesting choice, Spike. Me and a good friend used to share a mutual appreciation of her, in our first year of uni. When I took that beyond images and listened to her/watched a Long Blondes video, though, the tide turned.
To take a different tact I do think that Girls Aloud sort of strike the right balance of glamour and homeliness. They're a group who have been completely marketed on their sexuality but I'll be damned if it hasn't completely worked on me.

The Long Blondes have exactly two good songs, the fact they were able to forge a career out of those two songs always impressed me.

Her pose on the cover of Drastic Fantastic is... not wholly disagreeable.
You're onto something with the Girls Aloud theory. Finding most of them attractive (most of the time) makes me feel about as uncomplicated as it gets, though.

It wasn't so much their music that put me off them/her, it was her whole "ice maiden with dead eyes/I could care less" shtick. Jackson can't pull it off. She's not Debbie Harry.
She is actually the weak link, phonically, of the group. The actual band are really quite good at the pop-rock stuff they do, but she went for completely the wrong tact. But if it hadn't been for her I doubt the group would have ever had a chance to hit the mainstream.
I find Katie White of the Ting Tings oddly compelling.
Katie White started off as a member of a girl band so there's nothing odd about finding her compelling. Amusingly she seems to have a habit of hiding when she's performing though, when I saw the Ting Tings she sort of loitered around the left hand side of the stage, away from the lights, whenever she wasn't singing.
She does tend to do the big floppy hat thing too.

An all too familiar tale, sadly.
Going back to Jools Holland again the Ting Tings recent appearance on his Annual Hootenanny for New Years made me realise I had a massive crush on Katie White. I think it's when she starts drumming like an insane woman.

She's definitely got something. That was the worst she's ever sounded, though. Almost like she was nervous.
The nature of Jools Holland's shows can lead to generally solid acts coming across as sub par. Having different bands playing different stages in the same venue with presumably the same PA is never a good idea. I remember watching Elbow a few months back and them coming across really badly as a live group just due to how poorly they'd been PA'd.

Plus that live performance, in theory, occurred at about 1am on New Years Day.

She knows her way around a delay pedal, and that 'one girl band' thing she does with it is intriguing and adds to her attractiveness in my eyes.

This is true. Maybe I was harsh because I was looking forward to them quite a bit. And because Kelly Jones (who I'm no great fan of) and a few others sounded superb. But yes, back to topic, White is hot.

Also, to further reveal my unhealthy redhead fondness: Melissa auf de Maur!

Although I preferred her work in Moloko than her solo efforts, I really like Roisin Murphy, she such a sultry look to go with her voice.

Huh, she looks very different there than she does now. I liked last year's Overpowered a lot; I guess I'll have to check out the Moloko stuff.

Is that not the same show that he got caught out for miming in?

Their early stuff is more experimental, it's only on Familiar Feeling that they really took a pop oriented approach to their music, it's their best album by a mile.

Never heard about that. Even if he was miming on the show, that was some performance if it came from his pipes.

I've had a schoolboy crush on Alanis Morissette for 14 years now.
I'll go along with the Alanis mention. Also, Allison Weiss is currently captivating me with her music and general adoreability.
