Starting a Podcast

Well, a friend and I have started a podcast. It's pretty much random bullshitting about stuff we like... video games, comics, movies, music and whatever...

We're looking for an audience, so I'd love it if any of you gave it a try. We're still getting our feet wet and looking for our stride, but I think we'll get there.

I will most likely check it out this evening when I get home from work, and I'll let you know what I think then. Incidentally, my friend and I were contemplating starting up a podcast, so any advice you can offer up (via PM, of course) about equipment and the like would be greatly appreciated.

I've thought about Podcasting from time to time but I realized no one wants to hear me drone.

Now if anyone want to have me on as a guest. Well, that's different

Boomstick I'll listen to yours if you listen to mine. It's mainly sketch comedy and stand-up clips, with a whole lot of stupid stuff.

Rob, I'll bookmark yours and give it a listen as well.

I'll keep you in mind, Ed. I'm working on putting together my first podcast with a buddy. A lack of invitation isn't stopping us.

Episode 4 I think was our most entertaining. It's heavy on the Battlestar Galactica, but then we get into talking a lot of nonsense about random things that turned out pretty good.

Boomstick, as promised... here's my feedback (sorry for the delay.)

I really love the top 5 feature. Very High Fidelity. I've only made it to the end of episode 1, so far, but I think the strength of this will bring back listeners.

Perhaps somewhat predictably (given where I discovered the podcast), the topics of interest are very much in line with my own and those of my friends.

I wholly agree with the selection of Goldeneye. It'd be, at least, no. 3 in my list. M.G.S would be around there too, actually.

The way Chaz says "exactly" is great.

Thanks... much appreciation. I think we've tightened up a bit and we're starting to get our groove now. I wasn't really happy with the first episode, so that's encouraging.

Skype, a way to record the call, and a website to publish them on.... then rapecast away.

Well, I can't believe we've already done 10 episodes. We actually ran into a ton of tech difficulties that last 3 weeks. Ugh. Hope they're behind us.

In episode 9 we discuss the top websites. Chud.com made the top spot for me. In episode 10, we discuss the top 5 NPCs in video games.

What's awesome is, I've gotten itunes to add us to their marketplace!!!! In a couple days you'll be able to see our cast in there. We're also already part of the Zune Marketplace!! Exciting stuff.

I also set a Twitter account up, and hope to get more exposure that way. If you've listened to any others, please give some feedback.

Listening to Episode 2: Zombie Holidays right now. Really enjoyable so far (just over the half-way mark). Wish I could've participated in the superhero discussion.
