| We're now told the grand mal seizures Jett suffered were "frequent and extremely serious." Travolta's lawyers, Michael Ossi and Michael McDermott, tell us "each seizure was like a death," with Jett losing consciousness and convulsing. We now know Jett was taking a drug called Depakote, a strong anti-seizure medication. There have been reports Travolta refused to give his son anti-seizure meds because of Scientology but those stories are not true. Jett had been having seizures on an average of every four days, until he started taking Depakote. Ossi and McDermott say the drug initially worked, reducing the frequency to approximately once every three weeks. Jett took Depakote for "several years," but it eventually lost its effectiveness, according to Ossi and McDermott. They say the Travoltas were concerned about possible physical damage. And, Jett went back to having around one seizure a week. So Travolta and Preston, after consulting neurosurgeons, stopped administering the drug. |
| McDermott also tells us when Jeff and John Travolta administered CPR there may have been signs of life -- as in there may have been some respiratory function -- though that is not confirmed. |

Travolta says he's heartbroken at son Jett's death
Autopsy will take place tomorrow.| FREEPORT, Bahamas – John Travolta said Saturday he and his wife Kelly Preston are "heartbroken" over the death of their chronically ill 16-year-old son, who collapsed at the family's vacation home on Grand Bahama. Police Superintendent Basil Rahming has said a caretaker found Jett Travolta unconscious in a bathroom late Friday morning and he was later pronounced dead at a Freeport hospital. The youth was last seen entering the bathroom on Thursday, according to Rahming's police statement. "We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives," Travolta and Preston said in their first public statement since Jett's death. They also thanked people for their support. "Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered," said a statement posted Sunday on Travolta's Web site. "We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives." Preston and Travolta have said that Jett became very sick when he was 2 years old and was diagnosed with Kawasaki Syndrome, an illness that leads to inflamed blood vessels in young children. Preston blamed household cleaners and fertilizers, and said that a detoxification program based on teachings from the Church of Scientology helped improve his health, according to People magazine. Others said Jett was prone to seizures. Michael McDermott, an attorney for the actor, said Sunday that although Jett was last seen Thursday and found the following day, he doesn't believe that the teen was in the bathroom for a substantial amount of time. "The police left the impression that the boy was unsupervised. No. There were two nannies with him for the entire evening," McDermott told The Associated Press. "They made it seem like he was sent to the condo and nobody checked in on him until the next morning." "(Jett) was spectacularly supervised," said McDermott, who said he has not had the chance to talk to the two nannies himself. McDermott said he had no knowledge of Jett's medical history but "understood he had a history of seizures." It is unclear whether Jett was taking medication for that. The Bahamas' health minister, Dr. Hubert Minnis, has said that a second, U.S.-certified pathologist will fly in at dawn Monday to assist with the teenager's autopsy. "I have spoken to (Travolta) and informed him that the government is doing everything it can," Minnis said Sunday, adding he could not disclose further specifics about the autopsy. About a dozen security guards and Bahamian police officers patrolled Sunday around the luxury Old Bahama Bay resort community where Travolta and Preston remained inside their home. The white-sand beach in front of the suites was closed. The couple also has an 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. Travolta, 54, is trying to finish funeral arrangements and hopes to fly his son's body to Florida by midweek, McDermott said. Travolta and Preston, 46, have a house in Ocala, Florida. The Church of Scientology, established in 1945 by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, has attracted numerous celebrity followers, and among its more famed members is Travolta, who has long been one of Hollywood's biggest names. |

That was what I thought was enough abusdity to make folks know it was a goof and at the true expense of your awful cult. Well dang if i didn't get a handful of hate mail - and even worsy - hate comments. If you are going to threaten someone on Myspace, you might as well make it more intimidating and put it in a childrens birthday card. Problem is, John, that a lot of people on the comedy circuit hear me make fun of children, child-birth, over-population repeatedly, much less besmirch the biggest retard-cult ahead of AA and Amway that is your religion, Scientology. But somehow they hold ubiquitous Pud-Sockets like John Travolata sacrosanct because they watch them on the different screens and pretend that they are friends, subconciously if not moreso. I dont know how or why your kid died but I do know that you are no more important than the millions of other people who I make fun of in tragic situations - the same people that these 20-25 "I'm dropping you from my friends list" MyCunts laugh viciously at - just before they jump on your rolling campsite in order to pretend their opinion counts. I hope all the people that wrote smarmy comments have their child burn to death in a car fire while they watch - unable to do anything - before they send messages about me not knowing what it feels like to lose a child - like I did when I had it terminated with extreme prejudice. I will never get into a baited battle about who of us have seen it worse when it came to losing our child. Mine didnt actually die in a car fire, I just paid 700 bucks to have it killed so it didnt ruin my wife's vagina, much less pollute the world even more. Plus I was afraid of having a retard or whatever you call em - like "not really a retard or anyone who needs special help, probably faking it for attention" or whatever your sick cult preaches. I'll check this for missing words or typos tomorrow. I hope you continue to promote that silly cult even further so more apemen make for funny side stories. I'll write more when I am sober and actually know the story. stanhope - easy to find |

Man, if people want to take the cynical nobody is more special than anyone else for any reason view point, FINE. Bill Hicks did it and ironically alot of people love him. But saying that about a man who just lost his son is crossing a line in the sand, the line that divides cynical and fucking asshole.

Jett died from a blow to the head
The autopsy of Jett Travolta was complete within the past hour, and although the complete findings may never be officially released, reports indicate the cause of death was a blow to the head. It is said he hit his head on a bathtub or toilet, but it is unclear whether he was having a seizure and then hit his head, or hit his head during a seizure. To be fair to Jett, bathrooms are basically killing chambers, nothing but slick wet tile and sharp ceramic and metal corners, so I can definitely understand someone in his condition getting killed in there. More from TMZ:
This whole thing is pretty awful. One can't help but wonder if the Travoltas laugh-out-loud-stupid religion prevented them from addressing Jetts very obvious illnesses, because Scientology believes that UFOs who wear belts exist but Autism does not. I'm also curious about this because this shit is depressing, and I start to wander off mentally as I'm reading these articles. About halfway through this one i checked out and started to hum "Winter Wonderland" and then thought that sledding seems like fun. But if you want to read all this, knock yourself out. |
