LOBSTER, the new Lucky Nightsticks album

IS DONE. And our best.

It'll be available on iTunes, Emusic, Rhapsody, Napster, and other outlets by February 1 and will be the first CD of ours that is getting an actual print run of actual CD's to be sent out for actual use by actual people.

None of this Cafepress shit.

This place is a ghost town but I want to do this like the old days where I send 10 or 20 CD's out for little rundowns of the tracks from folks like you.

Hopefully there are folks out there still interested enough.

I wish you best of luck with this.
Renn can use this as a soundtrack for his All My Lobsters film!

I really dig the title "Shifty Peterson" for some reason. Would be a good band name as well.

Maybe it's just that shifty reminds me of nifty(a quality, underused word), and I haven't had a lick of sleep.

Holy shit!!! I'm really excited. LN still get a ton of play around my parts and my wife even sings along to Belloq and I Broke the World.

Awesome news!

Oh yeah, what do I do to get a copy of this ASAP?
I'm still interested. I really like the stuff you put out with The Lucky Nightsticks and have enjoyed every song I've heard so far.

I can't promise that my run-down will be of the caliber provided by the CHUD staff, but I would definitely give it my best shot if I'm considered.

Futterman's Peanut Butter? My friend's gonna want to buy a copy for sure. He's in love with that.

This morning I saw your post on twitter about it Nick. I shall be buying this later when I get home.

Does rundown mean the same as feedback? Like, give a little review of it?

Folks, let me know if you want me to gift it to you through iTunes or mail a hard copy. They both will run me about the same costs and one will take a lot less time. PM me the email address of your iTunes account if that's your choice.

I will try and accommodate as many as my meager budget allows.

Sent the first batch of iTunes giftees. More?

I've always enjoyed your music and you going the extra mile in helping people get a chance to listen is just super.

I don't expect people to go out looking for it, much less pay for it.

I just want them to give it a listen and if they don't hate it... spread the word, share it, use it in their films, whatever.

Still working my way through the album (damn interruptions!) but the title track has fast become my new favorite song. Just fucking incredible.

Makers of the Glaive = my favorite track so far. A catchy song about Krull!

Just sent you a PM response, Nick. I'll have an addy for you when I get home from work. I'm looking forward to hearing this new album. One of my plans this year is to slowly purchase my way through all of the stuff you have posted on Amazon or iTunes. I've already been pimping the hell out of Killing Swarm's "Lesson" album to all of my friends. In fact, I was singing the main chorus to "Sucker Boy" just yesterday.

Anyone else?

Hey Nick. I wanted to bump this thread by saying that I had the chance to listen to both "Lobster" and "Christmas is Fucked". After multiple listens of each I can say that I enjoyed both albums alot. I plan to do a song-by-song review of each album soon, but wanted to at least put up some kind of feedback so that you didn't think I punked off a couple of free albums from you for nothing.

And apologies ahead of time - I'm not nearly as good with reviews as the illustrious staff of CHUD, so I humply apologize if my future attempts sound like the albums have been reviewed by Lefty, the one-nut hobo with Downs.

When I get the chance, I'll just post my feedback here. Thanks again for the albums!

Just picked up Lobster on iTunes, and noticed something interesting at the bottom of the page.

I really dig the tunes. It sounds like you guys enjoyed making it, and I love when music exudes that kind of vibe. Unless this is the kind of music you make while staring at razor blades. If that's the case, I hope you're never happy.

ETA: Also, Mr. Butler is right. The title track is fantastic!
